Kate Moss is the latest patron saint of bingo. Readers may have seen the story doing the rounds that Kate Moss and Sadie Frost (ex wife of Jude Law), like nothing more than lounging around on the grass with their kids enjoying a harmless game of bingo.
Now, I can’t decide what to make of this personally. On the one hand it is great when someone famous adopts my favourite game as their passtime of choice – take Gary Barlow for instance (I know I would, lol), but when that famous person is the hard drinking, hard smoking, hard partying Kate Moss I have to ask myself if this is the kind of ambassador the game needs.
Ok, so she’s not down the local Mecca Bingo hall or Gala Club in Camden, or Notting Hill, or wherever she is living right now and stood outside having a smoke in the interval, with a glass in her hand, but her reputation is not one that is going to go away in a hurry, even with some gorgeous fairy meadow wedding pictures.
I don’t think married life and motherhood have tamed this wild child/woman and while bingo can be very helpful in teaching numbers to kids, I would like to know if Kate takes this new found fondness for bingo any further and maybe does dabble online.
If so Kate, which online bingo site is your favourite? Will you be the next celeb to cosy up to Foxy Bingo, especially if he starts designing clothes as well as perfumes? Maybe the charity sites like Pink Ribbon Bingo or Bingo Giving could benefit from your patronage. There’s always Champagne Bingo to match the lifestyle or Cheeky Bingo to go with the fact that flashing the assets is not a problem (did you see the pictures of her jumping off the boat into the sea recently?).
Well, I mustn’t begrudge anyone a good game of bingo, so in the spirit of the friendliest of chat rooms that might not always make the newbies welcome straight away, I now extend the hand of friendship to Kate and Sadie and say, “welcome to the club”.
