The warm weather has been lovely these last couple of weeks, although many of us are grateful that it is now starting to cool down a little. As a nation we are very ungrateful when it turns nice. We spend all winter and spring longing for the sunshine and then can’t really cope when it arrives, lol.
I don’t know about you, but I notice a big difference in the online bingo rooms when the weather is nice and I’m sure the pattern is repeated in the land based bingo halls – there are a lot less people around to play.
Has anyone else noticed this at the sites they play at? Sites like William Hill Bingo, tombola and Jackpotjoy get thousands of visitors every day, but the pots are definitely reduced on the really nice days as people opt to be outside instead. Some might say they prefer to be inside when it is really hot. I must say that I fall into this category as me and the sun have never seen eye to eye.
Mobile bingo is starting to take off, but it is still not widely recognised as being available, although many sites like William Hill Bingo, iBingo and Mecca Bingo are now building awareness of the mobile option into most of their advertising. This time next year a scorching summer may not make that much difference as playing bingo online on the move will be much more the rule rather than the exception.
Have any of you changed your playing habits because of the gorgeous weather we have been having. Do you choose to stay indoors and take advantage of the fact that there are less players in the rooms and increasing the chance of a win, even if the pot is slightly smaller (like me). Or do you prefer to wait until evening when it starts to cool down and people come back to the bingo rooms and the pots start to rise again.
Do you think roomies seem happier on the sunny days, or are the Chat Hosts often on even better form when the weather is nice? A bit of sunshine can have a wonderful affect on people’s moods, but does it help us become winners?
