Bingo Hollywood miss a trick with Team Bingo

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Bingo Hollywood is a realtively new bingo site, but has been around for a few months now and seems to be doing a good job of building its profile in the ultra competitive online bingo market. This is even in the face of the the unprecendented number of other new bingo sites that have launched in the intervening three months since Bingo Hollywood first hit our screens.

As well as the great first deposit bonus available on sign up of 300% Bingo Hollywood have a market leading reload offer of 75%, which gives so much more bingo game play for your money. On top of this Bingo Hollywood are not stingy with the SPs (Star Points that is – same as bonus bucks at other bingo sites). The Chat Hosts are constantly playing chat games in most rooms either every game or every other game and there does not seem to be a restriction on the number of times anyone can win.

Recently for instance there was a chat game based on trivia, entertainment and general knowledge run on a tournament basis. For two hours questions were asked every game and the first three bingo players with the correct answer got 3000 SPs each and points, 3,2 and 1. The top three players at the end of the two hours received another 7,000, 5,000 and 3,000 SPs – I wasn’t even there for the full two hours and walked away with 15,000 SPs – that’s £15 free bingo money for having extra fun while playing my favourite bingo games.

Bingo Hollywood have also recently trialled team bingo and this is where I think the site might have missed a trick in encouraging extra bingo game play.

The incentive to join a team was a huge pot of 2 million SPs up for grabs across the four teams. Every time a team member won a bingo game 10 points were awarded to the team tally. The team with the most points at the end of the weekend win a share of 1.25 million SP’s.

The team bingo has run over the last two weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but only between 7pm and 11pm. Now, to qualify for a full share of the prize pot, a minimum of 100 bingo games had to be played, but even I had a life this weekend and tore myself away from my computer screen to spend time with friends on Saturday night. This meant that I couldn’t earn points for the team (Brad and Angelina by the way if anyone’s interested) and couldn’t build up my tally of bingo games.

In addition when a fellow bingo player won a bingo game there was no way of knowing which team they were earning points for unless you kept looking for them on the team boards of if they said which one in chat.

There was so much more opportunity for BingoHollywood to capitalise on both the community spirit that was blossoming in the competitive environment and in encouraging more bingo games to be played by more people if the competition had been allowed to run all through the weekend. I know I would have played more games during the daytime if I had the chance to earn points for my team.

I have just checked the leaderboard and team Brad and Ang were beaten by just 20 points by team Barbie and Ken, but even though my team were second and I did not play a full 100 games I have still walked away with over 11,000 SPs. That’s in affect £11 cashback on my weekend spending and I had a load of fun too.

Anyway, I certainly hope that BingoHollywood run Team Bingo again as it certainly has the potential to be a winner, both for the bingo site and for us the bingo players.

Wonderful Wonder Bingo

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

It looks like the people behind Wonder Bingo on Facebook have come up with a winner. 39,000 people have been playing this great new bingo game and I have been one of them – the sacrfices I make in the name of work – lol.

If you haven’t tried it yet, just log in to your Facebook page and search Wonder Bingo and bookmark it.

It is really easy to get up and running. Once you are in the application prompts will pop up to get everything in place so you can start playing bingo:

- Play bingo – using Daily Credits applied by Wonder Bingo each time you log in. When you win a bingo game you do not receive more credits, but WonderBucks.

- Players buy or send virtual gifts to friends or other players using WonderBucks.

- The more gifts bought or sent elevates your Community Status.

- The higher your Community Status the more free Daily Credits will be applied to your account.

- The more Daily Credits you receive means you can stay and play bingo longer.

That’s all there is to it.

There are speed bingo games and normal bingo games and cards of various cost, not to mention slot games to play on the side.

Everyone is really friendly and the virtual gifts are flying about all over the place.

Can you imagine a ready made audience of 14,000 people for (yet another!!) new online bingo site?

I like 75 ball bingo which is the only variant currently available, but may alienate bingo 90 lovers. I’ve tried a few of the rooms, but my credits are running out too quick as I keep buying the full quota of four tickets.

I think this is a perfect device to get the younger generation to accept online bingo as an acceptable passtime with its Facebook association and you can just use it while chatting to your online friends.

I want to increase our Facebook presence at the WhichBingo Facebook page to make it easier for us to discuss all things bingo – good and bad, vent your spleen about a bad site or rave about a good one.

If you are not already a fan come and join me today – http://www.facebook.com/whichbingouk – I look forward to seeing you there.

Bingo Bonanza and Big Wins at LoveYourBingo

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Love Your Bingo is one of the most people orientated online bingo sites that I have come across. The people at LoveYourBingo certainly want their player base to do just that and to make sure that they have the best time the flow of  information from the bingo site to player is very regular to keep everyone interested.

Join Love Your Bingo in their favourite room, Bingo Bonanza, which is open for seven hours EVERY day!:)  Bingo Bonanza has a wide range of different games including Free Bingo, BOGOFs, BOG2Fs, even BOG5Fs!!  Although part of the Virtue Fusion network, which is one of my favourites, Bingo Bonanza is exclusively for Love Your Bingo players so every win is a roomie win and in addition to that, the 29 Ball Bonanza in there currently stands at £82,920.

If you want to join the fun sign up to Love Your Bingo and take advantage of £15 free on first deposit and also receive a free set of iPod speakers – that’s an added bonus not available at any other bingo site.

LoveYourBingo may not be one of the biggest bingo sites out there, but that does not mean that members cannot win the big network prizes.

A few weeks ago Love Your Bingo saw its biggest ever winner walk away with nearly £39,000 after all the right reels  fell into place on the Mafia Millions slot game. Smartlizzie was the lucky winner and told Doris at Love Your Bingo why she enjoys Love Your Bingo so much, “..it’s such a friendly place, the CMs are all fantastic.  I love how funny a lot of the other roomies are too, they have such a wicked sense of humour, it’s great“.

Both Doris and I agree with Lizzie,  fab roomies and great games are what makes Love Your Bingo the place it is.

Foxy Bingo Blackpool online bingo birthday party June 2010

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Foxy Crew

Foxy Bingo was 5 years old this weekend and Foxy held his Birthday party at the Cliffs Hotel in Blackpool. The guest list was made up of online bingo fans of Foxy Bingo, a number of Foxy Bingo chat hosts, Foxy Bingo back office staff making sure everyone had a good time and yours truly.

There were a number of ways to join the fun, including winning special online bingo games, quizzes on Foxy Radio and special bingo chat games. For those of you not too familiar with Foxy Bingo, the bingo site usually has an away day of some kind at this time of year and this often takes the form of a mini-cruise.

Of the 50 pairs of Foxy fans that arrived at the hotel Friday afternoon to be welcomed at a drinks reception it turns out that not all were winners. Quite a few had chosen to pay for their rooms and to gain access to the party as they had not been lucky enough to win tickets.

Such is the loyalty and sense of community that an online bingo site operated correctly can generate. I met two such people in Crazielass and Jubbie555. Crazielass is a Foxy girl through and through and, as all the Foxy allocated hotel rooms had sold out, paid over the odds for her room and her place at the party and wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Crazielass travelled down from the North East of England and Jubbie55 travelled from Newbury for the event.

Best friend Jubbie555 is normally a Gala girl, but joined Foxybingo so she could keep her friend company. Although not a total Foxy bingo convert, Jubbie could see the appeal Foxy had for Crazielass.

If you wonder why it is sometimes not so easy to get on the winners board when playing online bingo this could be because there are growing numbers of people that do buy the maximum number of bingo tickets possible on a regular basis. And especially on the higher priced tickets. Jubbie555 is one such player as was another player I was lucky enough to meet, ROTFL. Yes, they admit, this appears expensive, but often the returns justify the amount spent and they do come out ahead.

Of course, at WhichBingo we advocate responsible gambling and not to spend more than you can comfortably afford. However, I don’t know about you, but these kind of stories make me inclined to save up and have a go at this method just for one session to see if it pays off.

Everyone was wearing their bingo roomie names and new friends were being made as the bingo players introduced themselves to each other. One thing was certain, the highlight of the party was always going to be the bingo games.

I went along with my (non-bingo playing) husband who expected to see rows and rows of computers lined up in the function room so we could all play online bingo! That would have been a sight to see – talking to each other in the chat room instead of face to face in the real world room!

As reported in our news story, paper bingo tickets went on sale. People were a bit shocked at having to pay £12 for 6 games of bingo, but when queried with the Foxy Bingo crew, manager  Grace McMillan pointed out that the bingo was not set up and run by Foxy Bingo, but by the hotel and was part of its regular entertainment programme, but they had kindly put extra sessions in place for the Foxy party. No-one profited from the bingo except the bingo players lucky enough to win.

Can you believe my husband won a house and I won the very next game too.  It was great. I had forgotton that feeling of playing bingo in a live situation and the thrill it generates. I made a mental note to pay a visit to my local bingo hall very soon and the other half even said he might come along too.

Lucky Bingo Winner

We were sitting in a very lucky corner. I was sat with three other lucky winners during the course of the night, including regular online bingo winner ‘ROTFL’. I had touched her for luck after hearing her stories of big wins at Foxy bingo of large jackpots and cars and cruises and it looks like some of it might have rubbed off.

The entertainment comprised of a singing duo and a comedian. The singers were called Oxygene and were ok, although I’m not sure how far they would get on X-Factor or Britains Got Talent in front of Simon Cowell, but they kept the audience happy for half an hour until the next bingo session.

Then we were treated to comedian, Carl Schofield, who did not look too promising, dressed as he was in a bright red suit with a pattern of hundreds of footballs. Our fears were unfounded as, although he was a little risque and he insulted almost every member of the audience during his act, he was very funny and very clever.

The absence of Foxy himself was noted on more than one occasion and we had to make do with a cardboard cut out, but still many fans wanted to have their photo opportunity.

Foxy Bingo knows how to throw a party and how to keep its online bingo customers happy and as an exercise in PR this weekend was second to none.

Is the Mecca Bingo Britain’s Got Talent bingo game a winner?

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Mecca Bingo is very proud of its tie up with Britain’s Got Talent and the exclusive Britain’s Got Talent online bingo game that it launched yesterday has had wide publicity.

I took advantage of the spend £5, get £5 free promotion that Mecca Bingo are running to encourage existing bingo players to give the new game a go and I must admit that at first try it felt like there was a little too much going on. I almost missed confirming my online bingo ticket purchase a couple of times as I was scrolling through to find the Bonus Balls Jackpot numbers I wanted, but it is possible to save a selection if you want to use the same ones every game.

Every now and then the scratchcard popped up and that delayed buying tickets too and there is not a win every time it appears as with the scratchcard games on some other bingo sites. All in all however, the new game is very playable and the graphics are excellent considering there is so much going on.

There were nearly 400 players in the room when I was there and the games moved through very quickly, but the pots were good and the ticket prices varied from low to high and that is good too.

However, once I had spent through my qualifying £5 I decided that a better option for a win might be one of the other bingo rooms that would be a bit quieter while many people were playing the Britain’s Got Talent game and this proved to be the case. I will go back though once the initial rush has died down, but it will be interesting to see which of the TV formats wins the day – the Deal or No Deal bingo game or the Britain’s Got Talent bingo game – the Banker takes on Simon Cowell!  Who do you think will win?

Clover Rollover Progressive reaches £2m

I took my free £5 and moved to the 75 ball Lucky 7 bingo room and played my online bingo quite happily for the next couple of hours, aided by some small bingo game wins to keep me playing and some wins on the Clover Rollover slot.

I like to ensure I make a few spins at 50p a go on Clover Rollover to ensure I would qualify for the Share the Wealth promotion and part of the £10,000 pot on offer by Mecca to be shared by anyone who has played the day the £2m+ jackpot is won.

Don’ forget it is not just existing customers who get free money to try the Britain’s Got Talent bingo game, Mecca Bingo are offering all new customers £5 free to play too. Players just need to register, go to the BGT game in the bingo lobby and £5 will automatically be credited. This is on top of the first deposit cash match offer up to £50 for new players to the site.

Plus as an added bonus all Mecca Bingo customers who play anywhere on Meccabingo.com in May will be in with a chance of winning Britain’s Got Talent Grand Final tickets.

I write a lot about Mecca Bingo, but the offers it comes up with and its games are second to none and it is only fair that I share them with you even though I might then have to fight you for those elusive bingo wins!

Online bingo – growing its charitable contribution

Monday, May 10th, 2010

I am happy to report that there is a growing trend among the online bingo big boys to make a contribution to various charities based upon the value of certain bingo games played by online bingo customers.

It has frequently been reported during this recession that online bingo does not appear to have been as badly affected by the economic downturn has might have been expected. In this respect it does no harm to the reputation of the online bingo industry to be seen to be making a gesture to say, ‘Ok, we are making a profit, but look, others can benefit too’.

Cancer Research and Breast Cancer Care are two areas that are particularly well represented within the fund raising efforts of the online bingo sites. The latter is probably representative of the fact that it is recognised that it is still women that make up the majority of the online bingo population – although more and more men are gradually being brought into the fold.

The high profile of a lot of fundraising events for cancer related illnesses also make these charities attractive to support. For instance, there are nationwide Race for Life events that take place up and down the country over the summer. Race for Life is organised by Cancer Research UK and many of the people that take part have had their lives touched by cancer in some way. These are usually women only events and participants obtain sponsorship for completing a 5k course, either walking, jogging or running.

You may also have heard of the Pink Ribbon Walks for Breast Cancer Care and the annual Playtex Moonwalk – the next event taking place in Hyde Park on 15th May. The Moonwalks call for real commitment, being either a Full Moon walk of 26.2 miles or a Half Moon walk for 13.1 miles. But many people make that commitment as more than £8m was raised from these events in 2009.

There is one online bingo site that exists to provide the best of online bingo entertainment whilst raising money for deserving charities. BigHeartBingo is all about charity bingo. The charity bingo game is played in exactly the same way as a normal bingo game, but a percentage of money raised is given to one or more named charities. This means online bingo players get the excitement of being able to win a prize for themselves, but also get the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping a good cause just by participating at all times.

Of the more mainstream online bingo providers Crown Bingo is probably the biggest that has specifically
chosen a cancer charity to support. During May the Crown Bingo nominated charity is Cancer Research UK. 50% of the jackpot funds from 7-9pm on Monday 10th May in Room 2 will be donated.  So it stands to reason that the more players that take part in the games the higher the jackpots will be and in-turn the higher the donation to this worthy charity will be. Crown Bingo will continue to run selected games during the month where a proportion of the funds will be donated to the charity.

Mecca Bingo choose a single charity to support throughout the whole year and in 2010 this is Marie Curie Cancer Care. The support of high profile names like Mecca Bingo helps to raise funds to enable Marie Curie Nurses care for terminally ill people across the UK in their homes. It takes £20 to fund one hour of nursing care. The Mecca Bingo Marie Curie games sees 80p per pound spent on bingo games donated to the charity and winners can also win themsleves a VIP trip to one of the exclusive Mecca Clubs.

Gala Bingo was probably one of the first online bingo providers to make a concerted effort to support a specific charity and currently they are aiming to raise £1m over 18 months for Sue Ryder Care, a charity that provides specialised care in 14 care centres and by running community based services across the UK, caring for sufferers and their families,of cancer, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease among others. For instance, every night this week Gala bingo will play a special linked game, where not only will there be a £1,000 Jackpot for you, but galabingo.com will be donating an additional £1,000 to Sue Ryder Care. They want to make it a Grand for You and a Grand for Sue! If you want to take part linked games will take place at 19.25 in all linked clubs.

This trend of being able to contribute to charity while playing our favourite online bingo games is one to be applauded and I for one hope it continues to grow and become a feature of more online bingo sites with more bingo games or bingo sessions helping specific charities.

Loyalty Schemes – friend or foe? This week Silk Bingo

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Over the next few weeks I am going to take a look at some of the loyalty schemes available at different bingo sites as players become more savvy about what they expect from their online bingo playing experience.

First off the block is Silk Bingo.

Silk Bingo rewards its players with loyalty points, which can be converted into cash and other specials that are offered periodically. Points are awarded for many things such as registering, referring a friend to Silk Bingo and for simply playing games. The point of the Points is that they can be redeemed for cash to be added to your account for the purpose of purchasing more bingo cards.

After registration, you will automatically become a loyalty member and your account will be credited with 1,000 loyalty points to start you off. After that the number of points earned depends on how often you use the site and how active you are in chat.
5p card purchases 1 point per card
10p card purchases 1 point per card
25p card purchases 2 points per card
50p card purchases 5 points per card
£1 card purchases 10 points per card

However, one of the more valuable methods of earning points is if you feel strongly enough about the site to recommend it to others, with a full 5,000 points under the ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme. Each friend that registers and deposits and quotes you as their source will earn you the 5,000.

Points may be redeemed for rewards in the members section or, in the case of Silk Bingo, 1,000 Loyalty Points redeemed results in £1 being added to your account.

Silk Bingo are very big on loyalty and each week have a high number of generous points incentives to keep you coming back to their bingo site. As an example recent promotions have included:

Zodiac – 30 roomies each received 5,000 pts for shouting bingo on this weekend’s Zodiac number of 17.
Lucky Jar – #33 was the lucky jar number recently – 24 roomies each won 41,600pts for shouting bingo on #33.
Player of the Week – Every Monday Silk Bingo pick a player of the week, who receives 25,000 free points.
Love Cash – The ‘power of love’ is run each weekend with 100,000 free points up for grabs to the player who has the most bingos on the special Heart pattern.
Free Cash – This is the where Silk Bingo give away 200,000 free points just for continuing to play bingo at the site.

These are some big numbers by anyones standards, but that is the idea of loyalty – if you play at one site all the time you are more likely to hit bingo on the pattern or number required or be playing when the lucky winners are chosen.

If you play a lot of online bingo and investigate new sites as they come along you will develop favourites and generous schemes like this can help the feeling of wellbeing at a site and enhance the overall gameplay experience, not to mention helping boost the funds available for our bingo fix and let us play a bit longer.

Let me know if you are a fan of loyalty schemes and if you have any feelings about the Silk Bingo scheme in particular. Do you have a favourite site with a good loyalty scheme that you take advantage of? Let me know by leaving a post on the blog or leave a review at the SilkBingo reviews pageat WhichBingo.

The Weakest Link at amuso.com – let’s pile in and have fun

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

On 20th April amuso.com opened its doors for the first time to paying customers with a simple single 90-ball and single 75- ball online bingo offering and with the big feature being an online Weakest Link game, but things did not go smoothly for the newcomer.

Traffic to the site was not great, but the players that found the site really appeared to enjoy the experience once they
had managed to get hold of the bonus cash on offer of a no deposit £5 – I know I certainly did. The only other initial complaint was the lack of players to swell the bingo prizes and to make for a good challenge on the Weakest Link trivia game.

Players tended to move back and forth between the bingo games and the Weakest Link, but suddenly the Weakest Link game kept disappearing for long periods at a time and then was withdrawn altogether and replaced with a holding page saying that the game was coming soon in April 2010. Enquiries revealed that due to some of the glitches and bugs that were being experienced by the site the BBC had insisted that the game be taken down until they were fixed.

As Amuso is the exclusive producer of online and mobile game shows for the BBC Worldwide and Endemol with the brand responsibility that this entails this would appear to be a perfectly legitimate request, but in the meantime potential loyal players have become discouraged. Continued visits to the site over the last few days have seen regular chat questions asking about the fate of  The Weakest Link.

However, The Weakest Link on amuso.com is now up and running again and to encourage players to the site the trivia game is currently running for free, but with the chance to win real cash. The game is great fun playing against only two or three other people, so if more people take part the enjoyment will be multiplied. The questions are trivia and current affairs with multiple choice answers and a limited time to chose an answer which adds to the excitement. At the end of each round a player gets voted off, just like on the TV.

Pay a visit to the site and encourage friends to visit to get the bingo pots climbing too. It would appear that the most
players so far achieved is in the region of 20 with a pot of £12 – although there are progressive jackpots also available for the really lucky. If first appearances are anything to go by amuso.com is gearing up to be one of the friendliest and most fun sites available where players can get their fix of bingo online.

Spread the word and let’s see if the site lives up to the expectations of demanding online bingo players looking for something a little different different. See you there and may the best man (or woman of course) win – I don’t want to be the weakest link, do you?

Leave a post telling me about your experience at amuso.com and leave a review at the WhichBingo UK amuso.com reviews page.

Mecca Bingo – Regulars Free Bingo Room. Was it worth it?

Monday, April 12th, 2010

Sunday 11th April, saw the first opening of the Regulars Free Bingo Room at top online bingo site Mecca Bingo as part of its £10,000 Sunday Giveaway promotion that is running throughout April for the benefit of its loyal onine bingo players. What an experience that turned out to be!

Were you there? I was - (the sacrifices I have to make for WhichBingo!!). At its peak 1,684 people were in the room and what a bunch. One CM trying to control that lot was like watching Neptune try to hold back the tide.  CM Alison did her best and handled herself admirably, only appearing to lose her cool a couple of times amidst quite a lot of scorn and abuse when certain players felt things were not going their way.

A couple of times chat games had to be abandoned due to cheating can you believe – although as each chat game was worth £100 instead of the normal £1 there was a lot more to play for than usual. These voided games caused a lot of problems from bingo players who had convinced themselves that they were the winner and were none too pleased that they were not going to receive ‘their’ winnings.  However, as after at least one of the games three people were claiming that they would have been the winner the logic behind their continued appeals and threats to lodge a complaint would appear wide of the mark.

Repeated appeals for bingo players to stop typing 5tg, 4tg etc., etc., fell on a lot of deaf ears and chat was moving at an alarming rate.  It really was headache inducing stuff. The same questions kept appearing again and again, so lets hope next week there is a standard message that the CM can put out – ‘the room is open until 10pm, you can pre-buy from the Schedule, no – you cannot win any of the normal game jackpots, chat game cheaters will be banned’.  That should at least save them some time and maybe their sanity.

All credit to MeccaBingo for trying to reward its quality bingo players (as not forgetting you had to have played through at least £30 between Monday and Thursday to get access to the room) and the prizes were on the generous side -
One Line £41.54
Two Lines £64.62
House  £193.84

Bearing in mind the criteria above, Mecca Bingo took in at least £50,000 in stake money during the qualifying period even if players only staked the minimum to get there, and it is almost certain that many staked more (I know I did!), it is nice to see a site giving something back.  But Mecca will also have lost out on income during the three hours the free room was open as some of those 1600 players would certainly have normally been playing on a Sunday night.

Some bingo players may not be too happy today who might have staked sufficiently to gain access, but forgot to visit the site at the correct time. The only notification of your qualification for the room is one pop up message as you achieve the required stake level and then nothing else, so it is seriously a case of if you snooze you lose on this one!

Well, sad to say, I didn’t even get close to winning, the closest being a 2tg, but at least my husband was pleased that I wasn’t spending any more money for the three hours while I was in the room.  Will I be there next week? Not sure yet, but I would love to hear from any of you that do venture in.

Have I been fair? Have you got a view on the occasion?
Post a response and let’s get our own party started!

Are you ready for Rebel Bingo?

Friday, March 26th, 2010

I did think twice about bringing the Underground Rebel Bingo Club to your attention as it is a hush-hush, secret organisation, but when the Wall Street Journal is writing about them it is time for WhichBingo UK readers to be in the know!

What started out as a bunch of short notice, random parties (raves?) at unusual locations, is fast becoming a must-attend event, though not for the faint hearted or easily offended. Please do not watch the video of you fall into either of these categories!

Click here to see a video of The Underground Rebel Bingo Club

The Underground Rebel Bingo Club was born when one such ‘normal’ party took place in the basement of a church hall, where the partygoers found a bingo machine and cards and started a very drunken and debauched game of bingo. This has developed into a party night that mixes bingo with unusual acts (a hula-hooping Elvis impersonator, anyone?) and burlesque performances, to create a unique bingo experience.

To take part, if you can track down an event, you will pay a £15 entry fee and grab markers and cards on the way in. Players stand (no chairs) and fill in cards while drinking beer and dancing to rock music. Players listen out for the far from traditional (rude) bingo calls when the numbers are drawn – no clickety click 66 here.  Another feature of the events is partygoers daubing each other with the marker pens as well as (instead of?) the bingo tickets.

Rebel Bingo usually begins at 9.30pm and goes on until 1am. By 9.30 most traditional bingo clubs have shed their players for the night! The Underground Rebel Bingo club now attracts between 400 and 1,100 ‘players’ to each event – numbers that traditional land based bingo clubs would kill for these days.

The idea of late-night bingo is one that Kieran Simmonds, the General Manager of the Mecca Bingo Club at Catford, south London, was happy to copy if revenue and footfall would be increased. Admissions at that venue have increased by 25% year on year since the introduction of After Dark Bing-glo, a (much) tamer version of Rebel Bingo.

“With the concept of After Dark, we altered the demographics of our customer base. Some of them are now in their 20s,” Mr. Simmonds says. “It is designed to be a bit of fun, but obviously there is the incremental income we want to make as well. The idea is to get people to drink a lot more.”

If you are not easily offended check out the footage and let me know what you think – will Rebel Bingo bring a new young audience into the bingo world who may then go on to swell the ranks of online bingo players?
Or will it alienate the traditional older bingo player?
