Bingo Hollywood is a realtively new bingo site, but has been around for a few months now and seems to be doing a good job of building its profile in the ultra competitive online bingo market. This is even in the face of the the unprecendented number of other new bingo sites that have launched in the intervening three months since Bingo Hollywood first hit our screens.
As well as the great first deposit bonus available on sign up of 300% Bingo Hollywood have a market leading reload offer of 75%, which gives so much more bingo game play for your money. On top of this Bingo Hollywood are not stingy with the SPs (Star Points that is – same as bonus bucks at other bingo sites). The Chat Hosts are constantly playing chat games in most rooms either every game or every other game and there does not seem to be a restriction on the number of times anyone can win.
Recently for instance there was a chat game based on trivia, entertainment and general knowledge run on a tournament basis. For two hours questions were asked every game and the first three bingo players with the correct answer got 3000 SPs each and points, 3,2 and 1. The top three players at the end of the two hours received another 7,000, 5,000 and 3,000 SPs – I wasn’t even there for the full two hours and walked away with 15,000 SPs – that’s £15 free bingo money for having extra fun while playing my favourite bingo games.
Bingo Hollywood have also recently trialled team bingo and this is where I think the site might have missed a trick in encouraging extra bingo game play.
The incentive to join a team was a huge pot of 2 million SPs up for grabs across the four teams. Every time a team member won a bingo game 10 points were awarded to the team tally. The team with the most points at the end of the weekend win a share of 1.25 million SP’s.
The team bingo has run over the last two weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but only between 7pm and 11pm. Now, to qualify for a full share of the prize pot, a minimum of 100 bingo games had to be played, but even I had a life this weekend and tore myself away from my computer screen to spend time with friends on Saturday night. This meant that I couldn’t earn points for the team (Brad and Angelina by the way if anyone’s interested) and couldn’t build up my tally of bingo games.
In addition when a fellow bingo player won a bingo game there was no way of knowing which team they were earning points for unless you kept looking for them on the team boards of if they said which one in chat.
There was so much more opportunity for BingoHollywood to capitalise on both the community spirit that was blossoming in the competitive environment and in encouraging more bingo games to be played by more people if the competition had been allowed to run all through the weekend. I know I would have played more games during the daytime if I had the chance to earn points for my team.
I have just checked the leaderboard and team Brad and Ang were beaten by just 20 points by team Barbie and Ken, but even though my team were second and I did not play a full 100 games I have still walked away with over 11,000 SPs. That’s in affect £11 cashback on my weekend spending and I had a load of fun too.
Anyway, I certainly hope that BingoHollywood run Team Bingo again as it certainly has the potential to be a winner, both for the bingo site and for us the bingo players.
