We have a tradition that whenever a new member of staff joins us here at WhichBingo we have a fun night out at the bingo! You wouldn't believe how many bingo converts we have here in the office that had never set foot inside a bingo hall before, but found the experience great fun once they got there.
We use the Leeds Mecca Mayfair branch and we are exceedingly well looked after whenever we visit, but once again I can't stress enough that all customers are treated in the same welcoming manner. Say hello to Maria and Vicky if you visit this particular hall and tell them WhichBingo sent you.
We paid just £13 for everything we needed for a full night of bingo, plus it is possible to take advantage of special packages to add food and drinks and slots and cashline games for discounted prices just to add to the whole experience.
It doesn't matter if you are an old hand or brand new to bingo. At Mecca they have introduced the Easy Book where all your bingo tickets are joined together in one easy to use book. The only separate piece of paper is the lates ticket if you want to play that too.
Some of the guys in the office that had been before had really taken to the new hand held electronic devices, the Mecca Max. These are perfect for those worried that they might miss a number when it is called or even those that would like to chat more as they play.
Mecca Max devices monitors all your tickets, so you can purchase more tickets and still never miss a number. Touch the screen every time a number is called and it will be marked off on every card on which it appears. It will tell you when you only need one number and what that number is so you can be ready to shout.
Players love them as you can play the slot games, the cashline games and even view the food menu from the comfort of your seat as well as playing bingo. However, on the night of our visit everyone had to use paper books due to a technical problem. These devices have not been around that long, but it was amazing how many people were disappointed they couldn't use them and were anxious to know when they would be back. That included some of the WhichBingo team too who had been looking forward to using them, but everyone managed in the end with their paper books and we even managed a few bingo wins between us, which is always a bonus.
In our view land based bingo is back with a bang and there are lots of promotions every week to compete with anything the online bingo sites can offer.
