Even the national institution that is the BBC have come to recognise the entertainment factor that the bingo game can bring to any event.
Today is the day of the general election following four long weeks of campaigning by all parties to try and secure votes in this, the closest election contest for many years.
TV tonight will be dominated by speculation and coverage of the results as they happen and to try and pass the time more quickly the BBC have kindly put together a party pack for use while the election night programmes are being viewed which includes a themed bingo game.
In the pack are various bingo cards that contain specific political words and phrases that can be expected to be repeated frequently during the course of the night.
These can be printed off and distributed among party guests who should then tick off the words and phrases as they are heard on the television or radio.
The winner is the first to cross off all the phrases on their bingo card - prizes at the party hosts discretion.
Don't forget to cast your vote and make it count.
