Less than a month after the acquisition of Virtue Fusion, bingo online
software provider Playtech are continuing their strategic movement to be the biggest and best in the lucrative bingo game market and has signed a bingo licensing agreement with Boylesports, Ireland’s largest independent
bookmaker. Playtech already provides Boylesports with poker.
Virtue Fusion is one of bingo’s biggest networks, with peak traffic of more than 6,000 players, and licensees including Mecca, Sky, Bet365, Crown Bingo, Ladbrokes and Virgin so giving Boylesports access to an unrivalled bingo prize pool that is attractive to many bingo players.
Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer said: “Boylesports already benefit from having Playtech for their poker product, so taking another best of breed service by utilising the Virtue Fusion Alderney platform will compliment their portfolio and bring enhanced opportunities.”
Boylesports head of online Conor Grant said the company is “delighted to be introducing their online bingo through Virtue Fusion to Boylesports.com.”
Playtech bought Virtue Fusion in February, the software supplier’s third major deal in less than three months, inceasing its existing bingo network by nearly seven times.
There have been a raft of strategic bingo acquisitions in the last 12 months, including the 888 purchase of Wink Bingo in December last year and rival PartyGaming buying Cashcade in July, consolidation being seen as key to success to the future of bingo online.
The British bingo market is seen as key to the growth of the bingo online
business area and as such has witnessed a large numer of sponsorship deals this month alone, many of them already reported here on WhichBingo,
including Harrah’s launch of UK online bingo under their Caesar’s brand,
Gamesys launching a bingo site for radio network Heart FM and Mecca
launching Britain’s Got Talent branded bingo.
WhichBingo are endeavouring to obtain more details of the new site and
will bring these to you as soon as they are available.
