The deed is done. Rollover Bingo, Bingo Scotland, ITV Bingo and Mirror Bingo are now part of the bigger Cashcade family of networked sites. Some of these have just had extra rooms added to their lobby while others have had a bit of a facelift during the transition.
ITV Bingo was always quite distinctive in its look as it has been able to utilise its connections to top ITV soaps such as emmerdale and Coronation Street and would have been understandably reluctant to change. But change it has and has moved away from 'real' graphics of its top programmes to caricatures of some iconic Coronation Street Characters and an all round 'softer' feel.
Rollover Bingo also had a unique look with its orange and purple theme and again it is clear why they would not want to lose that brand identity. Players will be pleased to learn that Rollover has been largely untouched on the outside by the merger.
ITV Bingo and Mirror Bingo have both had some minor cosmetic changes made to them to bring them more into the present day standards that online bingo players expect.
Mirror Bingo has adopted a navy blue theme - a move away from the tabloid red that has linked it for so long with the Daily Mirror. The site is still affiliated with the newspaper, but the branding has now been made all its own.
Being part of a network can sometimes make an online bingo site appear impersonal and distant. However, Cashcade have strived to ensure that this does not happen at their sites and each still retain their own identity and features, but now incorporate more rooms for players to choose from that will play games with bigger cash prizes.
Players at all these sites can now choose their favourite bingo site and play for £50,000 in guaranteed jackpots every week. The biggest games will feature a £5,000 guarantee on a Saturday and £2,500 on a Friday. Members that have made friends at their favourite sites will still be able to find them in the non-networked rooms that will remain unique to each individual site and each site still retains its own individual sign up deal for new players
Rollover Bingo still features its unique giveaway of lottery lines for new members and for each £5 spent on bingo, but there are now more rooms to spend at and win in.
In this instance this is a development that benefits players greatly and really has no obvious downside as Cashcade have clearly taken player concerns into account before deciding on the best way forward. The best features of each site have been retained and enhanced by having more players.
