Part 1 - Online Bingo - The Game

As with land-based clubs, 90-Number On-line Bingo is played on tickets that contain 15 random and unique numbers that range from 1 to 90. The 15 random numbers occupy any one of the 27 available cells on the 'ticket' that are configured in the usual 3x9 grid pattern.

Some software versions will play a 'strip' of tickets, consisting of 6 tickets. These six tickets will usually contain all 90 numbers once each. Therefore, a number is crossed off at each bingo call.

Most sites will play the usual UK game of 'One Line' (any single horizontal line across), 'Two Lines' (two horizontal lines) and then 'Full House' (all three lines). It goes without saying that the first player to correctly cross off a horizontal line; then two lines and finally for crossing off all the numbers on a ticket (Full House) wins the corresponding prize for the given game.

Some sites will also offer what is known either as a 'Progressive' or 'Jackpot' prize. These prizes are higher than the usual game prize and are usually won by completing the line, two lines or full house within a regulated number of calls.

You may also find that some sites offer '75 ball' bingo. This is also known as 'American Bingo'. It is played with 75-ball bingo on a 5x5 card with the centre square usually 'free'. The cards have the letters B I N G O above the five vertical columns, and numbers drawn are announced by their letter and number eg B6, I20, N43 etc. The B line contains numbers 1-15, the I line contains numbers from 16-30, The N line contains numbers 31-45, the G line contains numbers from 46-60 and the O line contains numbers 61-75.

With the centre space being a free space, a card therefore has 24 numbers on it. Games are played on a variety a pre-determined patterns varying from single lines, corners and crosses to shapes of letters and numbers. The pattern options are endless. The jackpot game is known as 'Coverall' or 'Blackout', where all 24 numbers on the card need to have been crossed off.
