Mecca club paves way forward for bingo
The UK’s newest branch of Mecca Bingo is leading the way in a rejuvenation of land based bingo halls.
The club, located in the Beeston area of Nottingham, has established itself as a new breed of bingo hall, combining a vibrant bar and social bingo entertainment area, a fully covered garden terrace and a traditional bingo playing area that benefits from table service and roaming callers.
A brand new range of bingo games and events are being hosted at the club, including bingo in a nightclub setting and Rock And Roll Bingo.
The club enjoyed a glitzy launch earlier this month and the buzz being created around the club is being enjoyed by players and staff alike.
A highlight of the club’s weekly calendar and a prominent feature of the launch event is Rock And Roll Bingo – a brand new innovation thought up by Leeds resident Mark Walsh, who has been delighted with the response from bingo players.
After years of hardship inflicted by the smoking ban and high taxes, bingo is in desperate need of better times and more clubs like this one could begin to turn the tides.
Certainly the people who matter – the bingo players – are ready to come back and play.
