Free Bingo - there's going to be more and more of it
The software provider behind sites like Cheeky Bingo and CostaBingo have announced that they will roll out their free bingo offering to more and more sites.
EGR have reported that 888’s B2B business, Dragonfish, is to extend its free bingo promotion across all its bingo networks after the initiative doubled traffic and generated double-digit revenue growth for pilot sites in just three months.
The main bingo network referrred to that will benfit from this is known as the 'Globalcom' network. It consists of more than 50 sites ranging alphabetically from abcBingo to UKBingo.net.
Gabi Campos, the MD of Dragonfish boss told the magazine that the draw of free bingo to rapidly establish a critical mass online provided the leverage for sites Cheeky Bingo and Costa Bingo to turn players into depositors.
Campos said: “By signing up for free cards, players enjoy the chat rooms, get excited about the software, and very quickly become a community in a similar way to any other social network. They then start escalating their commitment little by little, and then want to play for the bigger prizes.”
He continued, “From my generic position and opinion looking at the industry, it’s pretty obvious what we offer is very unique and powerful proposition for businesses to significantly grow their bingo,” Campos added.
However, players must always remember that these sites do not offer truly 'free' bingo - they are there to make you try the site out and then deposit. The market leader in truly free bingo is the site FreeBingo UK that offers totally free bingo along with the opportunity to win cash prizes and bingo goodies.
