NetPlay TV to exit online bingo
NetPlay TV is one of the big players in interactive gaming, but it would appear that online bingo does not attract the same audience as other forms of online gaming, as the company is now looking to dispose of its bingo holdings.
EGR Magazine is reporting that in the wake of recent restructuring and following the closure of its 'bingo on the tv' game Bingo Stars, NetPlay TV has decided to exit the company from its exposure to online bingo altogether. Its core audience is just not showing the level of interest required to make it viable for them.
NetPlay TV has a wide variety of online bingo domains. UK players may be familiar with Bingos and Bingo Friends, but may not know that the company holds quite a few international domains that will be quite lucrative for any eventual buyer as international markets open up - Bingo.it, Bingo.fr and Bingo.de, amongst others.
NetPlay TV will now concentrate on its core gaming activities and growing the TV presence of these. Some readers may be familiar with a couple of these already - Challenge Jackpot and Roulette Nation.
It will be interesting to see who takes on the big bingo brands that are being offloaded by NetPlay TV and what changes will be made to them moving forward.
In the meantime, both the UK brands, Bingos Bingo and Bingo Friends, continue to operate as normal and still offer a high standard of online bingo on Virtue Fusion software and on the Better Bingo Network. New players joining and depositing just £10 will receive a £25 welcome bonus.
