New PaddyPower Bingo TV ad promotes £20 free play

It is not that long ago that advertising gambling of any form on TV became legally possible, but since it did the online bingo fraternity have fully embraced it. The latest online bingo provider to go to TV is PaddyPower Bingo.

Paddy Power are a large organisation that have historically been better known for sports betting, but recently made the move into the lucrative online bingo market. The company have developed two TV campaigns, both of which are airing at the moment and will run throughout June; one for the online bingo arm and one for the Games section.

The Paddy Power Bingo TV ad is a first for paddypowerbingo and is titled
"make yourself at home". The TV ad is airing from June 2010 and features a new £20 Free Play sign up offer.

The Paddy Power Bingo campaign focuses on community-spirit where the social aspect of playing bingo online meets the fun of winning. The TV ad campaign is aimed fairly and squarely at female consumers.

The Paddy Power Games campaign, however, is male focused and emphasises the wealth and variety of online games available to play and draws inspiration from a easily recognisable Bond villain Blofeld.

Paddy Power’s brand marketing manager Alexandra Phelan said: “We have no doubt that both executions will stand out from the crowd and help position Paddy Power as household name within both categories.”
