New Rock and Roll Bingo
Mark Walsh, of Leeds, has come with a new twist on the classic game of bingo.
The new idea is to replace the bingo caller with short clips of classic songs and players have to mark off song titles and artists on their bingo cards. Like usual, the winner is the first player to mark off their card and call full house.
The game was originally played down Mr Walsh's local pub, but has now caught the attention of bingo giants, Mecca Bingo. They intend to trial the game in their Nottingham bingo hall and may then potentially run it at other venues across the country.
Mr Walsh told The Yorkshire Evening Post: "We thought we had something and we thought it would take off but now we're just over the moon. We just started playing it in a few places and it just went through the roof."
Mr Walsh is also said to be planning to adapt the game so that in could be run online or even on TV.
