Old and new unite at Jackpotjoy - better free bingo deals

Jackpotjoy Bingo certainly isn't a new online bingo site, but since the relaunch in March it has certainly felt like one. The bingo site was closed down for a short time while all the changes were implemented behind the scenes and when it re-opened it was barely recognisable.

These changes alienated a lot of existing players, but according to Experian Hitwise, has not deterred new bingo players from signing up at the site, as Jackpotjoy ranked number one in their records from January to June 2010.

According to Jackpotjoy Bingo, the changes were necessary because the bingo platform in use at the time could not support the increasing volume of players and the range of new games that Jackpotjoy wanted to introduce. The new platform could not immediately include many of the existing features of the bingo site and they had to be put to one side temporarily.

Some of these features are now being re-introduced - Bingo Lounge and Bingo Gold recently got their old look back - and now Bingo 20 is back, as is the Scheduled Buy option so tickets for favourite games can be pre-purchased. New rooms Wizard and Honey are now open, offering a wider range of ticket prices to choose from.

The social side of online bingo is vital to many players and Jackpotjoy have improved the chat areas again, making them clearer and players can choose the format they like the best.

However, the two biggest changes at Jackpotjoy Bingo see an improved free bingo offering and a brand new 90 ball bingo game based on the popular Bejeweled game.

The free bingo Rocket Room is being shut down. However, instead free bingo will now be offered every two hours between 8.15am and 2.15am in bingo rooms Cloud, Tiki, Emerald and the Wizard Room. These free bingo games are linked games and have a £50 total guaranteed prize fund which will be split between the one line, two line and full house prizes.
