The big news this week is that the biggest name in bingo is changing. As of Tuesday, 10th July 2012 Gala Bingo online will be running on Virtue Fusion software.
Up to now Gala Bingo has operated on its own standalone software, but in a major move this is now to change. The site will be taken out of operation at midnight Monday and is expected to re-open again at around 4pm on Tuesday afternoon with its whole new look.
The brand new Gala Bingo experience will be as secure and reliable as ever and players will still be able to find all their favourite games, but we are promised loads of additions and enhancements. The only action required by existing players will be to read and accept a new set of Terms and Conditions and then play on as normal.
Gala Bingo has enlisted the services of all round nice guy Peter Andre to introduce the new bingo site and to show everyone in a short video what it will look like and what changes to expect - it looks great.
There will be a new and improved welcome offer for new players - a free £30 bingo bonus for a deposit and spend of £10. While that may not be of benefit to existing players, the all new loyalty scheme will be a welcome addition to everyone. Player loyalty will be generously rewarded in the new Buzz Bingo loyalty programme. Every pound spent at the site in future will earn loyalty points that can ultimately be redeemed for bonus cash.
Thankfully the design will still retain the familiar look and feel and colour scheme of the Gala Bingo everyone knows and loves, but with the addition of lots of new features, including lots of social interaction that was lacking at the old site.
Another major benefit for many of the changeover will be the fact that Gala Bingo will now be available on the move, 24/7. The new software means that players will be able to access the games on their smartphones and tablets and enjoy the Gala Bingo Buzz wherever they may be.
Gala Bingo is in no hurry to relinquish its reputation for providing the biggest and best jackpots in 'Bingoland' and with more than 600 jackpot games on offer every day the site is sure to retain its number 1 status in that area.
Of course, Gala TV has been a big feature at the site and live bingo will continue to be a big feature at the new look site. We are promised a bigger and better live bingo experience with special celebrity guests and lots of big giveaways. It will be interesting to see if Peter Andre extends his relationship with the brand and pops up here occasionally.
Gala Bingo has always been known for its eclectic selection of unique scratchcards and its wide variety of slot games and instants and there will now be more than 500 to choose from when the site reopens.
