Eastenders fans will know that this is a big week in the soap's history. There is going to be a big fire at the Queen Vic and one or more of the top characters is going out in a blaze of glory as part of this great storyline.
Virgin Bingo are keen to let its online bingo playing roomies join in the buzz surrounding this event and players that have wagered £5 or more on bingo tickets this week will be entered into a team today aligned to one of the characters that could meet a grizzly end.
Players will be allocated to a team named after one of the following characters:
Peggy, Roxy, Max, Minty, Janine, Stacey, Phil, or Charlie
Each team will take part in the Bingo Race at Virgin Bingo to save their character between Wednesday 8th September and Sunday 12th September. The character team members must then play bingo, bingo and more bingo and the team that has wagered the most during the promotion will win a share of £1,000. The prize will be split equally amongst the whole team. An additional £50 will be available for the top 10 wagerers.
Everyone knows the Queen Vic is going up in smoke, so no spoilers there, and while normally this would put Peggy, Phil and Roxy firmly in the frame, the fire takes place on Janine's wedding day. As it appears to be compulsory for all Eastenders' to have their wedding reception in the pub, the whole community will be present.
Will Peggy Mitchell go down with the ship? Has Max bedded his last lady? Will it be loveable Minty playing the hero? No-one knows yet, but that does not prevent that character's team scooping the prize on Sunday at Virgin Bingo.
It is a well known fact that Barbara Windsor, Lacey Turner, Cliff Parisi and Derek Martin are all leaving the soap in the near future, so Friday could see the end of any of their characters. Tune in to Eastenders and log in to Virgin Bingo to get behind your team's character.
