The much anticipated results of the WhichBingo Site of the Year Awards 2011 have now been revealed.
In a year when online bingo has defied the odds and the number of sites available has continued to grow, Ladbrokes Bingo has secured the prestigious and much desired WhichBingo Site of the Year Award for 2011. Having scooped the top award back in 2009, Ladbrokes Bingo had disappeared from the leaderboard totally in 2010, so this is an amazing comeback. There have been new bingo games and slot games introduced, but it is the number of new players that have discovered the site thanks to its generous welcome bonus offers over the year that has probably resulted in the turnaround.
In second place it has been announced that another Virtue Fusion site has come good in the form of Betfred Bingo and in third place was Bingo Hollywood. Betfred Bingo had a makeover during 2011, acquired the Tote bookmakers and Bucky Bingo. It also has a very active community on its Facebook page with regular offers that players love. Bingo Hollywood has clearly capitalised on its win as New Bingo Site of the Year 2010 to ensure it retained its high leaderboard placing and has also gone on to secure first place in the CM Team of the Year contest over at WhichCM.com. The top 5 was completed by Jackpot Joy and Bingo Cams.
The New Bingo Site of the Year Award has been won by Bingo Cams, the totally unique site that encourages players to switch on their webcams as they play and to be as over the top as they can with their winning celebrations for the chance to win extra cash prizes. The runners up in a close run poll were Fabulous Bingo with Wonder Bingo, Pink Ribbon Bingo and Rogers Bingo making up the top 5.
Vikki Taylor, Marketing Manager Bingocams UK said "We are delighted to have been awarded 'New Site of the Year 2011'. As this is voted by online bingo players it makes it all the more special to us, because we know we are on the right track with Bingocams.co.uk."
The WhichBingo annual awards are highly regarded within the bingo industry and by the players themselves. The ever increasing number of votes that are received reflects the fact that online bingo is a hobby that is growing in popularity and is gaining ever widening recognition with its higher profile across social and entertainment media.
Two new awards were added to the Which Bingo scroll of honour for 2011 - 'Best Bingo Promotion' and 'Best TV Advertising Campaign'.
The accolade for Best Promotion has been awarded to William Hill Bingo for giving away 31 brand new Fiat cars during October 2011, which were won just by earning prize draw entries by playing as normal at the site.
The Best TV Advertising Award was scooped by Jackpotjoy Bingo for its high profile Queen of Bingo campaign featuring Barbara Windsor. As new ads have been released the humour of the theme has been developed and players now love the tongue in cheek way in which the messages that the adverts carry are being conveyed.
A top five placing in each category it is eligible for is a brilliant result for Jackpotjoy and recognises the hard work that goes into making a successful bingo site.
Congratulations to all the winners and for a full run down of the top placings visit the WhichBingo Site of the Year page now.
