Last night (30th November) was a great night for WhichBingo UK; the top online bingo portal scooped the EGaming Review award as 'Gaming Review Site of the Year'. WhichBingo UK beat sites from all areas of the online gaming market to win the award.
WhichBingo was nominated in two categories at this prestigious awards event, hosted by Comedian Rufus Hound. The EGR Awards ceremony is a major one in the gaming calendar and represents the whole of the online gaming industry, not just online bingo. It is designed to recognise the highest achievers that have stood out from the crowd during a tough and highly competitive 12 months.
The EGaming Review Awards cover all aspects of the gaming industry and WhichBingo was up against opposition from poker review sites, casino review sites and sportsbook review sites so being named as the winner of the 'Gaming Review Site of the Year' is a fantastic achievement.
Phil Fraser, founder of WhichBingo, said "We have attempted to create a site that is of value to the everyday online bingo player. I am absolutely delighted by this result. It recognises the hard work and effort put in by the team, not just this year, but every year to reach the stage we are now at - market leaders in the online bingo industry. It's a position we have fought hard to reach and will fight equally hard to maintain."
WhichBingo was also nominated in the Innovative Gaming Site of the Year category, but were pipped at the post by the Racing Post.
Later Phil Fraser commended the entire WhichBingo team, stating that the award was justly deserved and crowned a busy year which saw the successful launch of a whole new look for the site and brought the world of online bingo to thousands of new readers.
Through the unique, easy-to-use ‘thumbs up, thumbs down’ review system, WhichBingo provides readers with the facility to leave their own personal reviews of the sites they visit. In addition, site visitors can also comment on other peoples’ reviews and can find out about everything that is happening in the online bingo world.
There are big plans in place for 2012 too, so watch this space and here's hoping for more awards for the WhichBingo trophy cabinet in the months to come.
