Sad news has reached us today that one of our favourite online bingo sites has closed its doors. Wonder Bingo has spun its last bonus wheel and given away its last free fiver, and it is a few weeks now since all the virtual gifting disappeared.
Wonder Bingo opened with a wonderful concept of bringing like minded people together in a pay to play online bingo environment. The site tried to replicate the Facebook social bingo experience which it had dominated for so long. However, the Facebook social gamers did not materialise at the site as may have been expected.
This was one new bingo site where the new player numbers would have been anticipated to be in the high hundreds very early on, given the reputation of the brand and the excellent standard of the Wonder Bingo pay to play site. All the social features that Facebook bingo players love were present, but the footfall wasn't.
Wonder Bingo continually endeavoured to enhance the playing experience and introduced many unique features that we raved about within the pages of WhichBingo, but for whatever reason apart from a hardcore of very loyal members, the customers numbers fluctuated wildly.
A few weeks ago the site reverted to standard Parlay Bingo operating standards, but it has now been decided that there is no requirement for too many sites utilising the same offers and software and the decision has been taken to remove Wonder Bingo from the market.
Anyone that was enjoying the new look Wonder Bingo and the features and games that they found there can still enjoy the same fun and find the same people at BingoPalace.co.uk.
All Wonder Bingo accounts have been transferred to Bingo Palace and everyone's log in details will also be the same as they were at Wonder Bingo - even CM Raven will be around to reassure people and offer advice if needed.
