Bingo Operator's YouTube Comedy Series Coming to TV

Paul Ince, Teddy Sheringham and Mark Clattenburg are just some of the famous names that are due to appear in “The VAR Room”. This short comedy series has been created by the popular sports betting, casino and bingo operator, Paddy Power and it’s bound to make you chuckle even if you’re not a football fan.

Paddy Power has been creating funny ads for years. In fact, you can still see one of its best ones from June 2018 on YouTube.

Although the brand encompasses online bingo, lotteries, virtuals, in-play, casino, poker and sports betting, it tends to get more attention for its sportsbook product. As a result, most of its TV and print ads revolve around popular sports like football, and after scoring (pardon the pun) major viewing figures for its “The VAR Room” YouTube series, Paddy Power and its team have finally got the recognition that they deserve.

What’s happening with The VAR Room?

Paddy Power’s popular comedy series is coming to our TV screens over the coming weeks.

Each show is 23-minutes long, and you can catch them on Virgin Media Two, Amazon Prime and Paddy’s YouTube channel.

What is the series about?

“The VAR Room” centres around the VAR Hub at Stockley Park in West London, which came under fire last season for making somewhat bizarre decisions.

The series aims to bring humour to the often unpredictable world of British football and uses both actors and celebs to act as the VAR decision-makers.

Who appears in the episodes?

“The VAR Room” features a range of stars, as well as guest appearances from ex-Premier League footballs and referees such as Alan Curbishley, Teddy Sheringham, Paul Ince and Mark Clattenburg.

What’s next for Paddy Power?

The team at Paddy Power prides itself on its comical content, and in its own words, it feels that it’s “raised the bar with The VAR Room”. The brand is hopeful that the new series will be the first of many, so watch this space!

So, what’s the deal with the bingo?

While bingo might not feature in the new comedy series, you can have plenty of laughs with other players over at Paddy Power Bingo. Why not read our review to find out more?
