Camp & Furnace is Back with a New Bingo Event

We haven’t heard much from Camp & Furnace since it lost its court case against Johnny Bongo back in March last year. While it may no longer own the rights to host Bongo’s Bingo events, it has something else up its sleeve that it hopes will pull in the punters this summer.

With indoor entertainment venues being allowed to reopen from 17th May 2021 in England, Scotland and Wales, many businesses are gearing up for what they hope will be a big comeback over the coming months.

Camp & Furnace in Liverpool is one such company. Before the pandemic it was considered one of the city’s premier nightspots, welcoming DJs, musicians and private parties through its doors most weekends.

It’s now planning to launch an exciting new bingo night called Bingo Lingo on Friday, 2nd July 2021. It’s the same exciting yet unconventional bingo experience that launched in Cardiff’s The Depot back in the summer of 2016.

At previous Bingo Lingo events, players have been lucky enough to win some amazing prizes such as festival tickets, electric scooters, and new cars, as well as more unusual rewards like cardboard cut-outs of Phillip Schofield and giant inflatables.

Bingo Lingo will now take up residency at Camp & Furnace throughout the summer and tickets are already on sale.

It promises customers an “off the wall” bingo experience that involves dance-offs, twerking and a range of eclectic prizes.

The owner of Camp & Furnace, Paul Speed, says that it’s “great to be opening back up with such a busy and diverse calendar after an unbelievably difficult time for the industry”. Bingo Lingo’s founder, Nicholas Saunders is also eager to “show the city what we’ve got”.

Other events that he has already planned for the coming months include a Eurovision Party in May and a Disco Freedom Weekender in July.
