Foxy Bingo has undergone a lot of changes over the last couple of years. It has lost many of its standalone exclusive bingo rooms and it finally unmasked the fox as being actress Heather Graham. Both of these things somewhat harmed the brand as players love a bit of exclusivity and previously the team had never wanted to ruin the illusion by allowing their mascot to be seen without its head.
Now comes the biggest change of all. From 20th November Foxy Bingo will no longer be run by the 888 Group which operates the Dragonfish bingo platform. From that date, the operator will be Electraworks Limited, part of the GVC Group and that means that it will be changing to the Cozy Bingo platform, which GVC also owns via Electraworks.
This move comes hot on the tail of another former Dragonfish site Think Bingo also owned by GVC making the transition to the in-house Cozy platform. Both these brands used to operate under the Cashcade network name and offered a very personal service to players. We regret that these moves will see the end of personalization of any kind and instead just bog-standard games with run of the mill prizes and none of the community-spirited enterprizes that Foxy, in particular, was famous for. He sponsored Rugby competitions, ran promotions to put hundreds of Christmas lights on your house, he ran Mum of the Year contests and so much more.
We can only hope that getting such big brands on board means that Cozy is going to become a major player in the UK bingo industry, with lots of changes to its old ethos under the old owners and more emphasis on players, fair terms and great games.
