Latest New Slots Releases – WC 30-11-20

Christmas is coming, and the slotting realm is getting fat with the usual festive slot releases. Thanks to the dreaded ‘C’ word Christmas is likely to be very different this year, but all the leading slots developers are hoping we have enough yuletide cheer remaining to enjoy their Christmassy slotting titles.

Here are details about a few of the best games to have been newly released at online casinos, slots and bingo sites over the past two weeks.

Rudolph Gone Wild (NextGen Gaming/SG Digital)

Rudolph Gone Wild Online Slot

Rudolph, famed for his glowing scarlet conk, has been the subject of many an online slots game before (must memorably in NetEnt’s Rudolph v Santa) but that has not stopped NextGen Gaming (via their parent company SG Digital) from releasing another slot based on everyone’s favourite Christmas reindeer.

In this game Rudolph has really gone wild with no less than three different types of wild symbol. The most generous is the Rudolph Wild which triggers a free re-spin when it lands and is sneezed (by Rudolph) one reel to the left on each spin until it is sneezed off of the reels altogether. This slot is worth playing to hear someone’s terrible impression of a reindeer alone.

Enjoy this game along with a mince pie at any of our recommended online bingo or slots sites.

A Tale of Elves (Microgaming)

A Tale of Elves slot (Microgaming)

It really would not be Christmas without a festively-themed slot from Microgaming. In the past these major slotting players have given us Ho Ho Ho, Happy Holidays and Deck the Halls. Their first festive-themed slot this year (they have a second planned called Santa’s Wild Ride) is this effort, called A Tale of Elves.

Proving that not all great slots have to be jam-packed with features, this game does give you a choice of free spins options should you be fortunate enough to trigger them. You can choose from between eight and 18 free spins, but the more you choose the smaller the feature’s win multiplier becomes. You also get stacked wilds during the feature.

Not one of Microgaming’s best, but still worth a few cracking spins.

Amped (Relax Gaming)

Amped Slot Review

We are moving away from the Christmas theme now to bring you this retro-looking and retro-sounding slotting title from Relax Gaming. If you are old enough to remember the 1980s or have developed some kind of weird fondness for that decade, then this slot is right up your street. You may even want to pop on a shell-suit and legwarmers when you play.

This slot has the standard five reels, four rows and twenty paylines, but visually it’s really something and is definitely quite striking. Four graphic equalisers pound away to the right of the slots and get really excited when you’re about to trigger a bonus feature. These can include expanding wilds, a win multiplier, sticky wilds and synced reels.

An unusual but very effective slot that should have you grooving like it’s 1989!

Syncronite (Yggdrasil Gaming)

Syncronite slot review

Trends in online slots come and go, but one recent concept that seems to be sticking in 2020 is that of ‘synced reels’. This is where two or more reels on a spin of a slot synchronise so that they show the symbols in the same position. If you can match synced reels up with winning symbols on other reels, then the chances are you might just score a chunky win.

Yggdrasil Gaming’s Syncronite is the latest slot release to make use of this synchronised concept. It adds in another slotting concept too – ‘splitz’ reels. This is where a reel splitz from its normal three symbols. In normal play this slots has a hefty 729 paylines, but when both features come into play, this total can increase to as many as 21,168.

To lessen the complexity of this game Yggdrasil has seen fit not to include any wilds, scatters or bonus symbols. This will diminish the appeal of this slot to some people but that’s disappointing, as here we have a very good game.

Forthcoming slots

The slotting world shows no signs of slowing for Christmas and indeed, the number of new slots being released is accelerating.

Over the next few weeks expect to see Christmas Megaways from Iron Dog Studios, Big Bad Wolf Christmas from Quickspin, Aloha! Christmas from NetEnt and Christmas Tree from Yggdrasil Gaming. There’s also Alchemy Fortunes from Microgaming to look forwards to and Ice Joker from Play’n GO.

We’ll have one more slotting round-up for you in a couple of weeks’ time before the end of 2020. We hope that all goes well in your lockdown-influenced Christmas preparations and if we don’t see you again before the big day itself, we hope Santa deposits all you deserve under your tree and you and your loved ones have a sane, safe and secure time!
