Mecca Bingo, one of the UK’s biggest online and land-based bingo operators, is enlisting the help of bingo players in an attempt to break a world record. Video messages can be submitted up until Friday, 12th November 2021.

If you visit the website of the Guinness World Records, you’ll find many records that have been set by bingo players over the years. Now, Mecca Bingo is hoping to secure a place in the history books as part of its 60th birthday celebrations.

What’s the record?

Mecca Bingo wants to create the largest online video album of happy birthday messages and to do so, it needs as many players as possible to grab their video cameras, GoPro’s and smartphones and do their bit.

How to take part

Although there’s no financial incentive, helping the operator to set the new world record is bound to be a whole lot of fun. Plus, you’ll be able to brag to your friends and family about your achievement if the record is broken.

All you need to do is record a video that’s at least five seconds long and contains both video and audio content relating to Mecca’s 60th birthday. You’re invited to shoot the video either at home or out and about, and you can even do it down your local Mecca Bingo club in front of a dedicated 60th birthday backdrop from 4th November 2021.

Once you’re happy with your personalised video, you simply need to upload it via the official Guinness World Records website here.

When will the results be announced?

We’ll have to wait until Saturday, 13th November 2021 to find out whether Mecca Bingo has been successful in its world record attempt, as it will take time to count how many videos have been submitted before the figure then needs to be verified by officials.

The announcement will be made across all Mecca Bingo clubs nationwide, as well as on Mecca TV, the brand’s exclusive channel. On the night, customers visiting their local club will have the chance to record any last-minute messages to make the final tally count.
