Microgaming Confirms New Live Casino Platform

Microgaming has confirmed that it is working on a new live dealer suite alongside On Air Entertainment. The state-of-the-art product, which will feature both bespoke and classic games, is expected to go live in early 2022.

In a bid to keep up with world-famous live dealer brands like Evolution Gaming, NetEnt and Pragmatic Play, Microgaming has announced that it will be launching a new live casino suite next year.

The company will be working alongside On Air Entertainment to make the upcoming suite of classic and bespoke games available via a purpose-built software platform.

Despite the rapid growth of the live casino industry over the past couple of years and the rising trend for online game show-style titles, Microgaming obviously feels that something is lacking as it says that it wants to “reinvigorate” the industry. Hopefully, this means that it’s working on some innovative concepts that have yet to be thought of by its competitors.

More about On Air Entertainment

On Air Entertainment has its headquarters in Malta and was only founded at the start of 2021. It already operates a live studio in Latvia and is on a mission to develop “competitive, customisable and world-leading content”.

On Air believes that its new collaboration with Microgaming will give it “unrivalled customer and market reach”.

What Other Companies Offer Live Casino Games?

As live casino games can be expensive to produce, the number of companies that specialise in them is limited.

Up until a couple of months ago, Evolution Gaming was one of the best-known developers. However, it’s recently acquired NetEnt which also produces live casino games.

Pragmatic Play has also been upping its game in the live dealer arena. In particular, it’s been trying to expand its reach with innovative live casino game shows such as Mega Wheel.

Live Bingo

We could potentially see the live bingo market expand in the same way. Bingocams already offers webcam bingo while Gala Bingo hosts club nights and live streaming events. Plus, as you can discover in this year’s WhichBingo Report, Positively Distinctive Media is currently working on a live bingo-themed entertainment product too.
