BGC pleased with results of 10-point action plan
Earlier this year, the Betting and Gaming Council created a 10-point COVID Action Plan to help spread the word about safer gambling while players were required to spend more time at home due to lockdown.
This month, the BGC’s chief executive has been looking at how the Action Plan has performed, and he says that the latest findings show that it’s “achieving real results”, with the number of safer gambling messages being displayed on online gambling sites having doubled in only 6 months.
Direct mails to customers containing safer gambling messages have also increased from 6 million to more than 11 million per month.
Buzz Bingo’s charity festive jumper now on sale
A few months ago, Buzz Bingo created a stir when it designed a bingo handbag based on the famous Lulu Guinness Bibi Bag.
Now, with Christmas fast approaching, the operator has unveiled a charity festive jumper which it’s selling on Etsy for £10.
The jumper features two Christmas puddings, which are strategically placed across the bust area, containing the numbers 25 and 12 to mark the 25th December.
Buzz’s Head of Corporate Partnerships says that the design is meant as “a fun reminder to everyone to regularly check their breasts/pecs”.
Buzz will be donating all sale proceeds to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

Festive slot releases
Software developers around the world have been hard at work creating a host of new games for the festive season.
Three of our personal favourites that will be released at selected online casinos and bingo sites very soon are Aloha Christmas by NetEnt, Holiday Spirits by Play’n GO, and Santa King Megaways by Inspired Gaming.
Aloha Christmas is a festive remake of NetEnt’s Aloha Cluster Pays slot while Holiday Spirits is based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Santa King Megaways offers up to 117,649 ways to win and a 10,000x jackpot.
Bingo halls in Tiers 1 and 2 reopen
On Wednesday, 2nd December, British bingo lovers breathed a sigh of relief as bingo halls in England’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 were permitted to reopen.
Buzz Bingo has been able to welcome back hundreds of customers to its 31 venues in Tier 2 areas, and the company’s Chief Retail Officer is keen to point out that the health and safety of its players is its “number one priority”.
Lockdown Bingo team returns for Xmas special
Larbert, near Falkirk, isn’t famous for much, but two of its residents landed the town on the map earlier this year when they began streaming Lockdown Bingo sessions in aid of local charities.
Now, Fraser Milligan and Jamie Allison are planning a Christmas party special which will be aired at 7.30 PM on Friday, 11th December.
Tickets are on sale via the Lockdown Bingo Facebook page and the profits will be shared between Strathcarron Hospice and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
The prizes include cash, entry to the Spin and Win game, and goodies from Amazon.
