After announcing its plans to acquire the non-US assets of William Hill back in September 2021, 888 Holdings has finally completed the takeover process at a cost of £250m after getting shareholder approval in June 2022. The company hopes to combine “strengths from across both businesses” with its new leadership team and believes that its world-class brands and propriety technology will give it “a powerful platform for growth”.
888 has also taken the opportunity to expand its board of directors with three new members, Randy Freer, Andria Vidler, and Andrea Gisle Joosen who all have extensive experience and have previously held senior positions at companies including Mr. Green, Currys, Gamesys, and Hulu.
