NewzBitez – DCMS Says White Paper into Gambling Act Will be Published Soon

Despite concerns that the resignation of over 60 x and the Prime Minister might delay the DCMS’ publication of its White Paper on the Gambling Act 2005 Review, it has since been confirmed that the paper will be published this summer.

Nigel Huddleston, the DCMs’ Parliamentary Undersecretary of State told the House of Commons during a debate that the White Paper “remains a priority”. Having confirmed that the Paper was being finalised in March 2022, the Undersecretary now says that it will be made available “in the coming weeks”, prompting some to speculate that it could be published by the end of July 2022. The Paper is expected to include both “conclusions and a vision for the sector”.
