The company that owns the building that was previously occupied by a Mecca Bingo hall has just been sold for £5m. The sale amount that Ediston Property Investment Company received is said to have been 67% more than the property’s most recent valuation.
The building in Southwater Square in Telford ceased to operate as a Mecca Bingo club in February 2022. However, Rank Group still owns the lease, which is due to expire on 28th September. The site was purpose-built for Mecca Bingo and sits on the same site as Telford Shopping Centre. It operated for 29 years before Rank Group decided to close it earlier this year.
