Special Features
There are 4 special features in the Beware the Deep Megaways slot game including a wild symbol, mystery symbols, tumbling reels and two free spins modes.
The wild symbol is the shark and this can replace other symbols on the reels to help form new winning combinations and potentially award bigger wins.
Watch out for the mystery symbols as these can transform into a random matching paying symbol.
The tumble feature is present in Beware the Deep Megaways. Each time a winning combination is formed, the winning symbols are blasted from the reels to make way for new symbols to drop. This can potentially create more winning combinations.
When four or more scatter symbols land on the reels, the free spins round will trigger. Players can choose whether they want to play the deep free spins round or the even deeper free spins round.
In the deep free spins round, the number of free spins depends on the number of scatter symbols landed:
- 4 scatters – 10 free spins
- 5 scatters – 12 free spins
- 6 scatters – 14 free spins
- 7 scatters – 16 free spins
There is the chance to either get more free spins or lose free spins through the gamble feature. Each time a tumble occurs, the multiplier will increase by 1x. Each time a scatter symbol lands on top of a wild symbol, the wild becomes frozen for up to three random tumbles. There is also the chance to get up to an additional 10 free spins by getting more scatter wins.
The second mode is the even deeper free spins round. During this round, there is also an increasing multiplier with each tumble. The more scatter symbols you landed, the higher the starting guaranteed multiplier will be:
- 4 scatters – 15x
- 5 scatters – 20x
- 6 scatters – 25x
- 7 scatters – 30x
There is also the chance to increase the multiplier value through the gamble feature. Each time the scatter symbol lands above the wild symbol, the wild will lock in place for up to three random tumbles where a new multiplier is randomly awarded. The guaranteed multiplier will increase by one each time a scatter symbol lands on the reels.
Graphics and Sounds
Players will be transported under the sea in the Beware the Deep Megaways slot game. Behind the reels is the deep blue sea where players will spot fish and plants. On the reels, the low value symbols are your standard playing card symbols while the high value symbols include lots of symbols commonly found at the bottom of the ocean such as old bottles, chests and daggers. There is also a shark warning sign and a shark wild symbol. The soundtrack goes back and forth from epic to a little haunting, which plays nicely to the shark theme.
Conclusion
Overall, Beware the Deep Megaways is an exciting slot game with sharp graphics and a cool theme. Underwater themes are nothing new, however, the graphics in this game are of the highest quality. The range of bonus features is also fantastic and a highlight has to be the free spins round with two thrilling modes to play in. Players will also be happy to see the tumbling reels feature here as this is very popular. There is no need to fear this slot game as there are max wins of up to 10,000x your stake up for grabs.
