Free Spins With No Wagering Requirements
If you want to try out a brand-new online casino or slots site, then the first thing you need to check out is whether the site has a cool free spins bonus offer. It’s even better if the winnings from those free spins are paid in cash with no wagering. While rare, there are a few of these offers around. You’ll be able to try out the very best slots using the free spins and who knows, you might just win a little bit of cash of your own as a bonus!
More Places to Find Free Spins
Free Spins and bonuses explained
The majority of offers that get listed are for free spin offers where you do not have to make a deposit in order to obtain them. Usually, with such offers, the spins have to be used on a specific slot game. If you find a site that offers free spins on a selection of slots, or a no deposit bonus that can be used on any slot, then you have really struck gold. If you are able to spread your no deposit free spins bonus round, then you will genuinely get an idea of what the online casino or slots site is all about.
Free Slots vs Free Spins
Did you know that once you have signed up with an online casino or slots site, you can play most (if not all) of the slots available for free? Don’t get excited though, as you can only play these games with ‘play money’. No matter how much you win, the cash you are rewarded with is as much use in the real world as Monopoly money!
When we are talking about a free spins bonus, we are talking about free spins on real slot games from which you can withdraw your winnings as real cash, as long as you have met certain terms and conditions.
Are Free Spins Worth Claiming?
No deposit free spins: A bit of a no-brainer, surely? As you are getting something completely for free, then why not claim them? Just don’t get any unrealistic ideas that you’re likely to win a massive jackpot if you claim your no deposit free spins.
Deposit free spins: You may as well go for a free spins offer even if you have to make a deposit in order to get it. Once you’ve used up your free spins, it’s up to you what you want to do next. You can either try and work through your wagering requirements, or you can withdraw your original deposit – it’s up to you!
Pros & Cons of Free Spins Bonuses
Pros
- You are getting something for nothing with free spins
- Free spins are a great way of trying out the online casino that is offering them
- You can play online slots free spins and see how you feel about them
Cons
- It is very difficult to make money out of free spins bonuses, but it is possible
- Working through wagering requirements can be bothersome
What is a Free Spins Bonus?
When you sign up at an online casino for the first time, you may be offered a welcome bonus. This could be a matched deposit bonus with which you obtain free spins as an extra benefit, or a free spins bonus without a matched deposit bonus attached.
Typically, you have to make some kind of minimum deposit when you obtain a free spins offer. With most offers, we recommend that you make the minimum deposit possible in order to obtain your bonus. With some offers the more you deposit, the greater the number of free spins you obtain. How you feel about that is up to you, and how keen you are to get your spinning fingers on as many free spins as possible.
Free spins are just a specified number of spins on online video slots that you do not have to pay for from your own funds. Once you have completed your registration at a site and made your qualifying deposit (if necessary), then when you open an eligible slots game your spins will be there waiting for you!
Please be aware that winnings from your free spins will be paid out as bonus money, and as such you will be unable to withdraw them until you have met wagering conditions.
What Types of Free Spins Bonus Are There?
No Deposit Free Spins
You can’t get less expensive than free spins no deposit – it’s just not possible! Sign up for an online casino and grab your free spins without having to make any commitment to make a deposit before giving the site a try! If you find a casino with a free spins no deposit offer and you enjoy what they have on site, remember to come back and leave them a review to bring it to the attention of other players who rely on other’s opinions when deciding where to play.
Deposit Free Spins
This is the most common type of free spins bonus you will find. You simply have to make a qualifying deposit in order to obtain your free spins. The site will instruct you as to the size of the deposit that it expects you to make, and the number of free spins you will receive.
Welcome Bonus Free Spins
Quite often you will find that free spins have been added to a welcome bonus as an extra incentive for you to take the bonus. If you make a deposit not only will you receive a cash bonus amount that matches your deposit amount, you will also receive a set number of free spins on top. Please note that no matter how much money you deposit, the number of free spins you receive will remain fixed.

What T&Cs Should I Look Out For When Claiming a Free Spins Bonus?
As you may have gathered by now your free spins are not really free. Usually, any winnings you receive via your free spins will be paid out as bonus money. Bonus money can be converted to real cash, as long as you meet what are known as ‘wagering requirements’.
A typical requirement may be ‘50x free spins winnings’. In this case, say if you won £10 by using your free spins you would have to wager £500 of your own money in order to cash out your bonus money, as £500 is 50 times £10.
You may now be asking yourself the obvious question – why spend £500 of your own money to withdraw £10? The answer is you do not have to spend £500, you have to wager it. You could play an online slot 500 times at £1 per spin, for example. You will not lose every single time, and indeed such is the nature of wagering that you could end up with more money than you started with. Once you have completed your wagering, your free spins winnings would then be available to cash out.
Winnings Cap
With some free spins offers you may find that your winnings are capped. Say the capping is set at £20, then no matter how much money you win using your free spins you will not be able to claim any more than £20 in bonus cash. That’s a raw deal as far as we are concerned.
Gaming Contributions
Usually, you can only use online video slots to meet your wagering requirements. If you use a casino game like blackjack, you’ll find only (for example) 10 percent of any wager you make will contribute towards your wagering – the other 90 percent doesn’t. This will raise your requirements ten-fold.
Some other games may not count at all.
Maximum bet
Some casinos enforce a maximum bet rule on their offers. This means if you bet ‘over the maximum’ with any single bet you run the risk of losing your bonus and bonus winnings completely.
With any free spins bonus deal make sure that you check the relevant T&Cs completely!
Free Spins Without a Deposit
That’s right! With the offers above, and any free spins no deposit deal for that matter, you are not even required to pay money into your online casino or slots sites account. Just sign up with the online casino or slots site that is offering the deal and … well … that’s really all that you have to do!
Just make sure that you check the T&Cs associated with any no deposit free spins offer that you find. If you do that, then you won’t be disappointed when you try and withdraw any free spins winnings that you make and find that it’s not quite as simple as that. Also in 2023 these types of online slots no deposit may become even more difficult to find as rules and regulations get tightened by the Government even further.

What are free spins?
Free spins are spins on online video slots that you do not have to pay any of your own cash in order to use. A bingo, slots or casino site may offer free spins as part of a bonus deal. They may be offered on a specific slot, a tight range of specified slots, or any of the slots that are available at the site.
Sometimes a site may offer free spins just for signing up, but more commonly they are offered as part of a deposit deal. You may, for example, need to make a minimum £10 deposit in order to obtain your free spins. On many occasions you will be rewarded with a deposit bonus as well.
Free spins are sometimes called free bonus spins as you won’t always win cash when you play – this often happens with free spins no deposit deals.
How do you get free spins?
You need to find a bingo, slots or casino site that is currently offering a free spins deal. You can do this by looking over the reviews here at WhichBingo, which are among the most comprehensive reviews you will find anywhere. We will also inform you of any bonus deals that we think might be of interest to you.
When you find an offer, read carefully what is expected to obtain your free spins. You may just need to complete your registration, you may need to make a minimum deposit, or you may have to play through a deposit first.
It’s the golden rule that you should never take up any kind of free spins offer unless you know exactly what you are doing.
Look out for a growing phenomenon, which is the ‘daily free spin’ offer. More and more sites are now doing this as a loyalty tool and a reward for returning customers, so now it is not only new players who get to benefit from slot free spins. Sometimes these will be offered just for logging on, but more often a spin of the wheel will be triggered by a spend on site the day before.
How do free spins work?
Once you are awarded your free spins, they are there until you use them, but they may well have a limited availability too. Check whether you will be expected to use your free spins within an allotted timeframe. Do not expect to hold on to your free spins forever!
If your free spins are tied to one game, then when you launch that game your free spins will be ready, waiting for you to use them. You will not be able to use spins that you pay for yourself before you have used up your free spins. Other free spins offers have ways in which they are launched, depending on the specific deal.
Once you have used your free spins any winnings you make are transferred to your bonus cash account for the next stage of the process.
Can you win money using free spins?
Yes, you can, but it is unlikely that you will win a fortune. There is also the sad possibility that you will win nothing at all. Whatever you win, your winnings will be paid as bonus money. Very few free spins offers will pay your winnings as real cash that you can deposit. Some deals have a win ‘cap’ from freebies, sometimes as low as 50p or £1!
You will be able to transfer your bonus money to your real money (and therefore withdraw) from your account as soon as you have met your wagering expectations.
What online slots have free spins?
Free spins are awarded by online bingo, casino and slots sites on specific slots as part (or whole) of a bonus deal. Some sites will allow you to use the free spins that you awarded on any slot on their site, but more commonly you are restricted to a set number of slots, or indeed just a single slot. You can also sometimes be awarded free spins when you level up on a slots site.
Many sites use the Swedish company NetEnt’s slots for their free spins offers. This is partly because NetEnt’s slots as regarded as being the best in the business, and they serve as a fine example of the best that online video slot games can offer.
Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest are the two games that are most commonly used for free spins offers, and both are from NetEnt. Another popular game for free spins offers is Fluffy Favourites, but that is made by a company called Eyecon.
If we are speaking more generally about slot games with free spins, then that is a different question and the list would be extremely long.
How many free spins can I claim?
That depends upon the specific offer. With no deposit free spins, you are unlikely to be offered any more than ten free spins – twenty at the very most. With deposit free spins offers, you should be offered more. The same goes for free spins offers that come attached to welcome bonus offers, although do not expect to be offered hundreds of free spins, as it just won’t happen.
Some deals will have sliding free spins offers – i.e. the more you deposit the greater the number of free spins you are awarded. How you feel about this type of free spins offers is down to you.
Can I play without making a deposit?
As previously explained, there are very few bingo, casino and slot sites where you can play real money slots without making a deposit. The only way that you can do this is by finding a no-deposit free spins deal, although such deals are now notoriously hard to find.
If you do complete your registration at any bingo, casino or slots site then you can play any of the slots or casino games (but not live casino games) for play money. This is ‘online money’ that is as much use in the online world as monopoly money is in the real world. You cannot cash it out, convert it to real money or bonus money, or do absolutely anything with it other than play online slots and casino games purely for entertainment purposes.
What wagering requirements are attached to these bonuses?
Wagering requirements can be confusing, so if you want to get your head around any kind of bonus you need to make sure you fully understand what is expected. If you fail to comply or if you make a mistake, then you could find your bonus and any winnings you’ve made confiscated.
There are four aspects of wagering requirements that you need to be fully aware of: the requirement itself, game contributions or weightings, winning caps and maximum bets. Note that not ALL bonuses will have all four conditions attached, although most bonuses will have at least the first two conditions mentioned.
Wagering: A typical requirement is 4x on bingo games, but higher like 35 x bonus, or deposit, or free spins winnings, or any combination thereof when it relates to slots offers. If it is just your winnings, and if you won £10, then you would need to wager £350 in total, as this is 35 times £10. This is the amount that you are required to wager, not spend. You could play 350 £1 spins on a slot to meet your wagering needs, for example. You would not lose every single time, and indeed you might end up with more money than you started with.
Game contributions: After you have used your free spins you will have a set amount of money that you need to wager in order to claim your winnings. In the above example, it is £350. As slots usually count 100 percent to wagering, after 350 £1 spins you would have cleared your wagering, and your free spins winnings would now be withdrawable.
Not all games contribute 100 percent, though. Casino games usually contribute only around 10 percent, sometimes less and sometimes not at all. If at a site you find that blackjack only contributes 10 percent, then only ten percent of each wager you make on blackjack will count against your full wagering needs.
Going back to our example, if your initial requirement was set at £350, and you played a single spin of a slot at £1, then your requirement would reduce to £349. If, however, you played one hand of blackjack for £1, then your requirement would only reduce to £349.90. This is because only ten percent (£0.10) of your wager counted towards your wagering.
Winning caps: Many times, the amount of cash you can win from free spins is capped. This could be something like ‘4x deposit’ or a fixed cash limit. In the former case, if you were required to make a £10 deposit to gain your free spins, your winnings would be capped at £40. Therefore, in this case, if you won £50 via your free spins you would find that you’d only have £40 in the pot when you started wagering.
Maximum bet: Bingo sites, online casinos and slots sites are not stupid. Say, someone won £4 from free spins and they had a wagering expectation of x 25, so they need to wager £100. What is there to stop them putting £100 on a single wager in order to clear all their wagering in one go?
This is quite a risk to win £4 but some people might consider it. They could put £100 on a single spin of a slot. What if that spin won and they now had £1,000? They’ve cleared their wagering and the bingo, casino or slots site would be in debt to them for a grand total of £1,004!
In order to prevent this from happening, online bingo, casino and slots sites set a maximum bet. This is the maximum bet you can place when meeting your wagering. Could be set as low as £1 per spin/hand, or even less. Make sure that you follow maximum bet guidelines when playing online and meeting a bonus, as you could have your free spins winnings confiscated if you bet above the limit.
