Sky Queen Slot Review
First released by Rarestone Gaming, Sky Queen is another slot utilising the ever-popular theme of the ancient Aztecs. Part of the Fire Blaze series of games, players have the chance to win one of four jackpot prize in the Fire Blaze Respin Feature.
Sky Queen also has Wild and Scatter symbols, plus a Free Spins Bonus Round, so there are plenty of opportunities to pick up wins.
Although the game is not especially visually stunning, it is nevertheless colourful and well crafted, and bursts into life during the bonus features.
Sky Queen is a medium volatility slot with a 96.56% RTP, and you can check it out for yourself at any of our recommended UK slot sites.

As part of the Fire Blaze series of slots by Rarestone Gaming, there are four jackpots up for grabs in Sky Queen — Mini, Minor, Major and Grand.
The Grand Jackpot is worth 2000x total bet (£1,000,000 when betting the max) and is won by hitting 15 Sun symbols during the Fire Blaze Respin Feature. The Mini (20x total bet), Minor (100x total bet) and Major (500x total bet) jackpots can also be won during the Fire Blaze Respin Feature.
Special features
Free Spins Bonus Round
Hitting 3x, 4x or 5x scatter symbols anywhere on the reels triggers the Free Spins Bonus Round, where 8 free spins are automatically awarded. The Wild symbol appears on all reels during the Free Spins Bonus Round, and hitting 3x or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels can trigger an additional 8 free spins, The Fire Blaze Respin Feature can also be triggered during the Free Spins Bonus Round by hitting 6x or more Sun symbols.
Fire Blaze Respin Feature
Hitting 6x or more Sun symbol triggers the Fire Blaze Respin Feature, with 3 re-spins awarded. Each Sun symbol will have display either a cash prize value or a Star icon.
Once the feature is triggered, all Sun symbols become sticky and remain in place for the 3 re-spins. Any additional Sun symbols that are hit then reset the number of re-spins available back to 3. When the feature ends, all of the prizes showing on the Sun symbols are added together and then awarded.
The Mini, Minor, Major and Grand jackpot prizes can be won during the feature. The Grand jackpot is won when 15 Sun symbols appear on the reels. Any Star icons that are held can award either the Mini, Minor or Major jackpots.
Graphics and Sounds
In terms of its overall design, Sky Queen is not especially eye catching. It features the very popular Aztec theme, and the symbols are all artfully designed and created, especially the Sky Queen wild symbol which animates and expands when appearing in a winning combination. The Fire Blaze Respin Feature is played on its own screen, with the value of each symbol showing, along with the value of the four jackpot prizes at the top of the screen.
The sounds are largely generic, and the music and sound effects are not especially relevant to the theme, either in base play or during the bonus features. This is perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the game’s design.
Conclusion
Sky Queen is definitely a game for slots aficionados who are not especially interested in themes or special effects, but are instead much more focused on the gameplay. The game offers a very wide range of wager sizes, so is suitable both for occasional players and high rollers, and there are potentially huge payouts on offer, with a Grand jackpot prize of up to £1,000,000 when betting the maximum coin size.
The Fire Blaze Respin Feature is an innovative style of bonus round that adds an extra dimension to the game, as do the free spins, so there is more than enough variety across all aspects of the gameplay to keep you highly engaged and entertained.
