Special Features
There are 4 special features in the Gods of Troy Megaways slot game including a wild symbol, cascading reels, a golden shields feature and a free spins bonus round.
The golden WILD can replace other symbols on the reels to help form new winning combinations and potentially award larger cash prizes.
The popular cascading reels feature is present in the Gods of Troy Megaways slot game. This means that each time a winning combination is formed, the symbols in that winning combo will be removed from the reels and replaced with new symbols falling into their places. This can potentially create more winning combinations. The feature only ends when no new winning combinations have been formed.
Next, we have the golden shields feature. When spinning the reels in the base game, the spins are played in sections of 10. On 9 spins, golden shields can land on reels 2 to 5. When this happens, they are collected and placed in the meters above the reels. When the 10th spin hits, the collected symbols above each reel will empty and land on the reels as wilds. If a wild symbol is already on a position on the reels where the new wild is landing, it will add +1 to the wild multiplier.
Lastly, there is the free spins bonus round. This is triggered by landing 3 or more scatter symbols across reels 2 to 5:
- 3 scatter symbols – 8 free spins plus 3 to 8 wilds added on every spin
- 4 scatter symbols – 12 free spins plus 5 to 10 wilds added on every spin
There are no golden shields that will appear during this round, however, guaranteed wilds will land. If another scatter symbol lands, an additional spin is awarded.
Graphics and Sounds
Gods of Troy Megaways is an Ancient Greece themed slot game from Red Tiger Gaming and while the theming is nothing new, the graphics still look great. Players will find themselves in an Ancient Greek temple with large columns towering behind the reels. On the reels, the low value symbols are the standard playing card symbols in a variety of bright colours. The high value symbols include a horn, vase, chariot, Roman soldier and a Helen of Troy. As you spin the reels, the music starts very calm but quickly livens to become battle music.
Conclusion
If you enjoyed the original Gods of Troy slot game, we are sure the Megaways version will appeal just as much. The graphics in this game are nice but it is the wide range of bonus features that are the highlight. Players will be happy to see cascading reels present and the golden shields feature adds something different to the game. Of course, the main draw of joining the Troy battle is the huge win of 43,200x your stake up for grabs. Don’t miss out on grabbing your spoils of war and spin the reels of Gods of Troy Megaways today.
