Special Features
There are 5 special features in the Gates of Hades slot game including a wild symbol, wild multipliers, tumbling reels, free spins and a super free spins feature.
The popular tumbling reels feature is available in the Gates of Hades slot game. Each time a winning combination is formed, the symbols in that winning cluster will be blasted from the reels and new symbols may fall to create additional winning combinations. This feature only ends when no new winning clusters have been formed.
The fiery WILD symbol can replace other symbols on the reels to help form new winning combinations and potentially award bigger cash prizes.
The wild symbol is one to watch as it may have a multiplier attached. This multiplier is placed above the reels and stays there until all tumbles finish. If winning combinations have been formed underneath the multiplier, it will be applied. Winning combinations covering multiple reels with multipliers at the top will have the multipliers combined before being applied to the win. New wild symbols landing on the reels during tumbles can also result in the multiplier above the reels increasing. Each wild multiplier can potentially be worth up to 100x but can be worth even more when combined with other multipliers.
Hades is the scatter symbol and landing 3 or more on the reels will trigger the free spins round. The more scatter symbols you land, the more free spins you will be awarded:
- 3 Hades scatters – 10 free spins
- 4 Hades scatters – 12 free spins
- 5 Hades scatters – 15 free spins
During this feature, any wild multipliers that land will remain for the duration of the feature. Plus, multipliers can potentially reach up to 500x. If more scatter symbols land during this feature, additional free spins will be awarded:
- 3 Hades scatters – 5 free spins
- 4 Hades scatters – 7 free spins
- 5 Hades scatters – 10 free spins
- 6 Hades scatters – 12 free spins
When 6 or more scatter symbols land on the reels, the super free spins feature will trigger. Players are awarded 20 super free spins and all wild multipliers during this round have a minimum value of 10x. Landing more scatter symbols during the round will award additional spins.
Graphics and Sounds
Gates of Hades is a Greek mythology themed game and players will be transported to the Underworld. Fire erupts in the background and Hades looms at the side of the reels as you spin. On the reels, the low value symbols are gems in a variety of bright colours while the high value symbols are themed and include golden crowns, ruby rings and goblets. Hades himself appears on the reels as the game’s scatter symbol. As you spin, dark and ominous music plays in the background which works well with the overall theme of the game. Plus, you will hear, and see, Hades making loud noises as you spin the reels.
