Special Features
In the Ice and Fire slot game, there are four features. Watch out for the wild symbol, free games feature and multiplier feature.
The wild symbol in this slot game is what appears to be a spell book and this will replace all other symbols on your reels to form new winning combinations and give you bigger cash prizes. This wild is special as it is part of a shared wilds feature where the wilds on one set reel of reels are copied over to the other set of reels. The only exception to wilds being copied over is if the scatter symbol is on its position. This wild can also only be found on the second, third and fourth reels.
Ice and Fire uses the extremely popular cascading symbols feature as you spin. If you are not familiar with this feature, it will remove winning combinations of symbols off your reels and new symbols will fall down to take those spaces and hopefully form another winning combination.
Get four consecutive wins with the cascade symbols feature and you will trigger the free game feature. In this feature, you will choose whether you want to be the fire dragon or the ice dragon. You will then be awarded between eight and fifteen free spins plus 100 or 150 extra wilds! There is also the opportunity to retrigger this feature which means you can get as many as thirty free spins.
Lastly, we have the multiplier feature. Get three or more gold dragon egg scatter symbols on your reels and this feature is triggered. The three scatters can also be across both sets of reels and the more scatters you land, the more free spins you will be awarded. Three scatters will earn you ten free spins, four scatters will earn you fifteen free spins, five scatters will earn you twenty free spins and six scatters will earn you twenty five free spins. Each time you get a winning combination, the multiplier will increase by 1x and there is no upper limit on the multiplier number.
Graphics and Sounds
Yggdrasil are known for their high-quality graphics in slot games and Ice and Fire does not disappoint. This slot game has a hint of fantasy to it and will even remind some players of Game of Thrones with fire and ice dragons and girls on the reels! Behind the reels to the left is the icy landscape with snowy mountains and on the right hand side you have the fiery, volcanic landscape. The theme continues on the reels with the symbols. Along with and ice girl and dragon and a fire girl and dragon, you will find lots of other creatures on your reels including owls, tigers, foxes, horses plus there is a crystal ball. The soundtrack to this game is just as epic and enhances the fantasy theme and atmosphere of this game.
Conclusion
Ice and Fire is a brilliant new addition to the Yggdrasil library and all fans of epic fantasy and adventure games will love spinning its reels. This game is also likely to appeal to many other types of players with its various bonus features that are both entertaining and will help you take home massive cash prizes.
