Slots Experience

I have been playing slots since back when it was still kind of acceptable to play kebab shop fruit machines after school.

I am old enough to have been around when the first ever online slot machines were launched – and I’ve played them all!

I got into slots after playing in the arcades on holiday with the family – every Haven Holiday camp had a good arcade back then and those 10p spin, £5 jackpots were just great fun, along with the coin pushers and virtual horse racing machines. I spent hours in the arcades with a tub of 2p and 10p coins!

My favourite slot games

In my late teens and early 20’s it was all about the local pub fruit machines; 3 reels and a feature board, dice, extra lives – something I think we really miss from the big slot providers of today. 

Pub slots were interactive, you actually “played” the game and that was part of the fun! Nudges, holds, hi/lo gambles – the pub fruity had it all! That style of slot machine is still my favourite to this day – and there have been some attempts to replicate them online with games like Lucky Streak MK2 by Big Time Gaming and some of the Deal or No Deal Blueprint Gaming Pub slots, but I still think there is a huge gap in the market for some good old pub slots online!

What I Look for in a Slot Game

Give me wheel features like on Six Six Six by Hacksaw Gaming or those dice-based features like on Cops and Robbers in the Big Money Bonus! You can’t beat the excitement of being chased around a bonus board, collecting prizes before getting caught or spinning a wheel with massive prizes and multipliers on! 

Casino Games Experience

I spent a lot of lockdown playing live casino gameshows like Crazy Time and Monopoly Live – and still play them although not quite as much now autoplay was removed. 

Some of those live casino games were behind the initial success of the 10p Gamer Channel, they were hugely popular games back in the early 2020’s and I found that there was a gap in the market for some realistic, low stakes gambling content creators just doing that every day, responsible gambling that most people do – so I still love those games and have some good memories!

Outside of that, I have dabbled with poker.

Personal Life

Outside of gambling, I am a musician. I play guitar and piano and write a bit of music – nothing chart topping but it’s a good second hobby to have once work is done!
