The modern era of the WhichBingo Awards began in 2014 at the Sky Lounge in London and It’s come a long way as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the event. This year we celebrated the biggest and best of the online bingo world in Gibraltar at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel. Huge Successes for Gala Bingo and Buzz Bingo
On the evening of Wednesday, 17th April we brought together a huge crowd of bingo industry professionals to see popular brands pick up their well-deserved awards – some voted by the public and others chosen by a professional body of judges.
Our judges this year were Victoria Reed, Founder at Better change, Simon Collins, Industry Entrepreneur, Christina Thakor-Rankin, Gaming Consultant at 1710 Gaming, Kevin Dale of eGaming Monitor and me.
Gala Bingo and Buzz Bingo both did well in the public vote and among the judges. Each brand received four awards, with some categories swapping positions right down to the vote closing.

We wanted to make the awards event even better to mark the 10th anniversary of the Awards and so we introduced a Player Panel in the pre-Awards section, to give the industry even more insight into what bingo players actually want from online bingo in 2024. This was moderated by Rob Mabbett from our safer gambling partner Better Change. We also gave away the inaugural Better Change Positive Play Award, won by PlayOJO, in recognition of its efforts to ensure players stay safe while still having fun.
Bingo with a difference
A WhichBingo Awards event would not be the same without a game of bingo for the leading lights in the industry to enjoy so, for something a bit different, we brought in Dabbers Social Bingo, famous for its annual contest to find the best comedy bingo caller. The bingo was loud and wild and funny and the prizes really took second place to the entertainment being provided.
