What Is Leisure Electronics?

Originally a service provider making sure bingo equipment worked on site, Leisure Electronics turned its hand to the product side and eventually grew into the UK’s leading manufacturers base that most players probably never think about – but couldn’t play without.
Based in Hull, the company of 30 years designs and builds the hardware and software that powers bingo clubs, casinos, and live bingo platforms. From the customer service reps arranging deliveries to engineers bringing broken tablets back to life, it all happens at Leisure Electronics.
If you’ve played in a UK bingo club, there’s a good chance you’ve touched Leisure Electronic technology without even knowing it.
Fun fact: these guys are open 364 days a year, 8am to 12 at night!

The BingoPlus Connection
Regular WhichBingo readers might recognise the Hull connection. BingoPlus ,who bring us The National Bingo Game, also operates out of Hull in the same complex, streaming live bingo from their studios 14 hours a day, as we covered in our Inside BingoPlus piece.
The two operations are part of the same ecosystem. It’s actually a neat circle: Leisure Electronics builds the hardware, BingoPlus runs the software, and players across the UK get a live bingo experience from both sides.
We are excited to bring the inside scoop on this total 360 view of bingo.

When you are playing in a bingo club, the bingo tablet in front of you is connected to a central system that runs the whole game such as calls and tickets.
What is a bingo tablet?
As an alternative to paper play, you can use a handheld device with a touchscreen that dabs automatically as numbers are called out, marking matching numbers instantly (or you can turn off ‘auto-dab’ and mark them yourself).
What is BingoPlus and how does it connect to Leisure Electronics?
BingoPlus streams live bingo from studios and operates from the same complex as Leisure Electronics. So the people building the bingo tech and the people broadcasting live bingo are under one manufacturing and product roof.
