A bingo player in Glasgow has won £50,000 at Mecca Bingo Glasgow Forge after hitting the National Bingo Game jackpot.
The winner (who has asked to remain anonymous) is a long-standing regular at the Duke Street Mecca club, playing there with their family since it opened 30 years ago.
They called house within the first 16 numbers called, triggering the top £50,000 prize.
The Win As It Happened
Sharon Kennedy, duty manager at Mecca Glasgow Forge on the night of the win, described a club that erupted:
“The atmosphere in the club was amazing, with all the customers clapping and cheering. The winner was shocked but very excited about the win. We’re always thrilled for our winners, but the £50k National Bingo Game jackpot is a real cause for celebration.”
