Merkur to Launch First UK Casino in Aberdeen

Merkur is one of the most famous names in the gambling industry and the brand is set to launch its first casino in the UK, on Aberdeen’s Summer Street.

This new Merkur Casino in Aberdeen will join its casino venues in Spain, The Netherlands, Serbia and the Czech Republic. Merkur Slots venues can be found in Dundee, Perth, Edinburgh and it also has a Merkur slots venue in Aberdeen. Merkur also places a heavy focus on bingo with over 225 high street bingo centres.

What players may not know about Merkur Casino UK is that it also operates several family entertainment centres which are most commonly referred to here in the UK as seaside arcades! It operates these venues at Weston Super Mare, Burnham and Ilfracombe. At these cool venues, you will find a range of video, pusher and racing games.

Merkur’s New Casino Venture in Aberdeen

Merkur has purchased, for an undisclosed sum, the Rainbow Casino which is situated on Summer Street in Aberdeen. With this new acquisition by the company, around 40 jobs will be retained. The company has described this new venue as a ‘major milestone’ for the brand.

As part of this new acquisition, Merkur will be giving the casino a refresh and creating a new layout on the casino floor. There are many exciting plans in the works to develop and invest further in this casino.

Visitors to the new Aberdeen casino can look forward to a world-class selection of table games which will include plenty of blackjack, roulette and poker games. Players can also enjoy spinning the reels of an array of popular slot games as well as all of the hottest new slot releases.
