TV Show About Welsh Bingo Lovers is Coming Back

TV Show About Welsh Bingo Lovers is Coming Back

In the summer of 2020 when we were still in the first stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, BBC Wales provided us with some much-need, light-hearted entertainment courtesy of a one-off TV programme called “Full House”. The show introduced us to the players and employees of Judge’s Bingo in Tonypandy and proved to be an unexpected success. The good news is that it’s now coming back by popular demand.

More about the new series of Full House

According to the Bingo Association, BBC Wales has recently commissioned a full series of eight 30-minute episodes after the original show scored record viewing figures when it aired 20 months ago.

The latest series of Full House will be available via live broadcast and on-demand services.

Shooting began in February and the first episode is expected to air in May 2022.

The new series will take viewers back to the Tonypandy bingo club, where we’re told we’ll get to see both old and new faces.

The show is being made by Jacci Parry, a producer at the independent production company, Tuesday’s Child, in collaboration with Majestic Bingo. While she was born in Liverpool, Jacci now resides in South Wales and has professed her love for all things bingo.

She says that in many communities, bingo clubs act as a “social hub” that helps to bring friends and families together.

The managing director of Majestic Bingo, Mark Jepp, says that the company is “over the moon” that the BBC has commissioned a further series of Full House and is hopeful that it will benefit “the industry as a whole” as well as the Tonypandy club.

Can I watch Full House if I don’t live in Wales?

Yes. The good news is that all national and regional programmes are available on BBC iPlayer regardless of where viewers live in the UK.

To watch the show on-demand, you simply need to search for Full House in the search bar or browse the available programmes within the service’s Wales category.

You’ll also be able to watch it live when it starts airing by changing your default location via Channels>On Now.
