Gaming marathons are great, but when do players stop to freshen up? To find out, WhichBingo surveyed 2,000 gamers on their hygiene habits, from teeth brushing to showering and even underwear changing. The results? Some gamers are squeaky clean, while others might want to take a break from the controller and grab a toothbrush (or soap).
Let’s dive into the data and see which gamers are the cleanest and who…well, could use a bit of help.
Who’s Skipping the Shower?
When it comes to skipping daily showers, League of Legends players lead the pack, with 29.9% admitting they shower less than once a day. In second place we have World of Warcraft players at 27.8%, and Destiny 2 players in third place at 27.2%. Maybe these players think a good win streak is better than a clean streak?
Console gamers show similar tendencies, with PlayStation players slightly out-showering even League of Legends fans, as 31.2% admit to showering less than once a day. Xbox players aren’t far behind at 27%. It seems that console players might also prioritize gaming hours over a daily wash.
Which Gamers Brush Their Teeth the Least?
Topping the list of forgetful brushers are World of Warcraft players, with 19.1% admitting they brush their teeth less than once a day. Right behind are Valorant players at 18.3% and closely following League of Legends players at 17.2%. Looks like some players are just too busy grinding to make time for brushing.
On the other hand, Candy Crush players are amongst the cleanest, with 80.3% brushing twice a day.
Console gamers show more hygienic habits here, with Xbox players only 5.7% likely to skip daily brushing, followed closely by PlayStation players at 5.2%. Nintendo console users take the win as the cleanest, with only 3.9% brushing less than once a day. It appears handheld players stay fresh.
Who’s Rationing Their Undies?
Topping the list of those holding out changing underwear are Valorant players, with 8.2% admitting they change theirs only every three days or more.
Close behind are World of Warcraft players at 7.3% (again), and League of Legends players at 6.4%. It’s starting to look like some of the same games are hogging the leaderboard for questionable hygiene!
Meanwhile, Baldur’s Gate 3 players reign as the cleanest group, with 90.3% changing underwear daily.
Console preferences also seem to influence underwear habits, with PlayStation users leading at 4.3% going over two days without a change, and Xbox players at 4.1%. Nintendo gamers are the freshest here again, with only 2.8% going two days or more.
Who’s Leaving the Deodorant Behind?
Unsurprisingly, World of Warcraft players top the list of those skipping deodorant, with 21.3% rarely or never using it. Valorant players follow at 18.7%, and League of Legends rounds out the list with 17%. It’s safe to say some of these gamers might need a reminder that smell can’t be “muted.”
Candy Crush players take the win for freshness again, with 92.7% using deodorant daily.
For console players, PlayStation users show a higher rate of avoiding deodorant, with 14.5% never using it, while Xbox follows at 10.4%. Interestingly, mobile/tablet gamers top the charts for freshness, with just 4.9% refusing to use deodorant taking away the cleanliness reign from Nintendo.
