Updated July 17, 2025
Dubbed an ‘entertainment phenomenon’ by Lonely Planet, Bingo Loco is as far from a traditional bingo hall game as you could possibly get, and yet it still centres the thrill of bingo that we know and love.

From Ireland and the USA to Australia and Canada (and of course Bingo Loco UK), Bingo Loco venues are popping up everywhere to serve a growing army of fans. Ready to find out what all the hype is about? It’s time for our official Bingo Loco review.

Bingo Loco Overview

Bingo Loco Review

What began as an idea in a bingo hall in North Kurdistan while travelling the Middle East, three Irish mates turned a gamble of a basement event into a rave-bingo sensation.

Ever wondered what is Bingo Loco bingo and where/how did it start?

Well, on their return to Dublin and on a Thursday night in 2017, the trio launched the first event. With just 100 attendees, it snowballed into monthly sell-outs within weeks thanks to viral videos and word-of-mouth. Now, Bingo Loco has entertained crowds of more than hundreds of thousands of people worldwide in hundreds of cities, thanks to its mashup of bingo, club lighting, performances, and audience games.

A full 180 on “traditional” bingo, Bingo Loco is everything-but-quiet: expect full-on nightclub energy mixed with a sprinkling of daubing. It’s a phenomenon that redefines what bingo can be. No wonder it’s been hailed as ‘the UK’s wildest bingo party’.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT BINGO LOCO

Imagine Fatboy Slim (in drag) meets your local bingo hall. Then throw in some glitter, a confetti gun, and a horde of screaming party goers.

From the second you walk into a Bingo Loco venue, you’ll feel the buzz. In fact, the T&Cs say it all:

“Our show includes references to sex and alcohol with music played at high decibel levels throughout”.

The atmosphere is electric thanks to smoke machines, strobe lights, throwback anthems, and the crowd singing karaoke-like together.

A session covers three bingo games and the rest is pure entertainment. Anything from wild bingo to comedian presenters, lip-sync battles, and weird and wonderful prizes. Singing your heart out and dancing to crowd-pleasing tracks is advised, and going home with confetti in your hair.

The brand has massive reach, particularly among a younger demographic looking for a night out with a difference (though social media shows that quite a few Nan’s have been in attendance). Social media is actually a key driver, helping showcase some of Bingo Loco’s most loco moments.

Bingo Loco Tickets & Booking Information

If you want in on a night out, then don’t wait, because Bingo Loco tickets sell out fast.

How to attend bingo loco? You need to get your tickets first.

Priced around the £20 mark, it includes entrance and a bingo book/marker.

Seats (we use the term loosely, you won’t be doing much sitting down) are unreserved and therefore first-come first-served. Doors open an hour before it all kicks off, times are on the ticket.

You can expect loud music, megaphones, dance-offs, and maybe even the odd glow stick crown, confetti shower, and ten-foot teddy bear.

Though there’s no group tickets, you can buy tickets and arrive together. ‘Hen & Rave & Bingo’ nights are popular – not only does your group get to book in advance, you have access to exclusive seating before the show commences. Or you can enjoy a customised show with a Bingo Loco work night out, or other private event. Really, the Dublin boys have thought of everything.

Bingo Loco Upcoming Dates & Locations

The search menu on Bingo Loco’s website will help you find your nearest event.

With too many cities to name, you’ll certainly find international Bingo Loco venues lighting up cities across the globe from America to Europe and Australia, including Miami Beach, Rotterdam, Ibiza, Stockholm, Sydney, and El Paso.

If you’re looking for Bingo Loco UK, check out the all-events page on the Bingo Loco site where you can filter over 300 shows by country, city, or month.

Surprisingly Bingo Loco is not yet in London but it is coming soon according to the website. Londoners, you can find other great bingo events here.

In England alone you can get your Loco up and down the country from Carlisle to Southend-On-Sea, while in Ireland, Dublin’s Twenty Two nightclub on South Anne Street has recurring events every Friday and Saturday night.

Bingo Loco GAMES AND PRIZES

Is there any actual bingo and do you win prizes? Yes, there’s bingo and prizes, but neither are what you might expect.

Each game follows classic bingo rules (1 line, 2 lines, full house) but what happens in between, anything goes. Expect minigames (often on stage) conducted by the live DJ or hypeman, that range from silly to embarrassing. A Bingo Loco highlight is the infamous rave round which is ten minutes of intense dancing to club night tracks.

All the money spent by players on their gaming stakes will be combined to form the total prize fund. And when someone wins, cue the rave horn. If there’s ever a tie it’s not settled quietly. Enjoy karaoke battles, push-up contests, or full-team dance-offs.

Much like other bingo events who mix bingo with a night out, prizes range from Henry Hoovers to air fryers to mystery prizes (some in phallic shapes). You could win a 12 pack of beer or a TV. A cardboard cut-out of an ex Prime Minister or a lawnmower. There are also big-ticket prizes up for grabs, like an international holiday or even a car. In general, the more random the better – there really is no rhyme or reason to what you might potentially win.

Bingo Loco FOOD AND DRINK

Don’t expect any food at Bingo Loco bingo – it is essentially a club event after all – but there’s certainly a well-stocked bar.

This is an experience with the focus on fun, not food. The drinks flow freely, keeping energy high and the party going strong. While you won’t find a three-course meal, you’ll discover a poppin’ atmosphere.

Bingo Loco Theme

Fancy dress or themed outfits are appreciated, but we say dress comfortably because you will be on your feet (or even doing a handstand on stage, if the mini game requires).

In Summary

Finally, a word from Bingo Loco themselves:

“If you’re looking for traditional bingo, you’ve come to the wrong place. We designed it for people like myself and the other guys who set it up. No kids, no boring bingo, just pure unhinged chaos and tunes from 7-9pm”.
