£250,000 Bingo Jackpot Won By Holidaymaker

A Greater Manchester holidaymaker has won a £250,000 National Bingo Game jackpot at Regal Bingo Bridlington. That’s quite the cherry on top of a holiday, eh?

67 year old Stephen Clarke was staying with his wife Dawn at Hawthorne Holiday Park when the couple decided to head out for a spot of bingo on Monday 24th August. A bingo player for over 20 years, Stephen matched every number on the National Bingo Game to land the top prize.

“We Are Still In Shock”

Fellow customers erupted into cheers and applause as Stephen realised his numbers had come up.

“We love coming to the club when visiting the area. I could not believe I had won the jackpot. Everyone started cheering and clapping – the crowd here are so welcoming,” Stephen said.

“We are still in shock and haven’t decided how to spend the money, but we will be treating our family. We also plan to go on a cruise, as it is our 40th anniversary this year.”

Stephen and Dawn have two grown-up sons and a two-month-old granddaughter. They visit Regal Bingo regularly whenever they’re in Bridlington and are already planning a return trip later this year.

Second Holidaymaker Jackpot In Two Years

In fact, Stephen is the second holidaymaker to win a National Bingo Game jackpot at the Bridlington club in just two years. Another regular visitor Sharon won £50,000 there two years ago, taking the club’s total National Bingo Game payout to £300,000.

Nikki Henshall, Director at Regal Bingo Bridlington, said the club was thrilled to see another visitor strike lucky.

“We are absolutely delighted for Stephen and Dawn. We can’t believe this is the second holidaymaker in two years to win the National Bingo Game jackpot. Just two years ago, regular visitor Sharon won £50,000 here, so it certainly is a lucky place to visit, whether you’re local, day-tripping or on holiday,” Nikki said.

“The atmosphere in the club was amazing, and our regular customers were absolutely delighted for Stephen and Dawn. It was fantastic to see everyone celebrating together.”

What is the National Bingo Game?
