David Potts on Naughty Bingo, Panto, and 21 Quickfire Questions

At WhichBingo’s Celebrity Party at Dabbers Bingo, we caught up with TV favourite David Potts, who brought his trademark energy and cheeky humour to the night.

True to form, David didn’t hold back when chatting about his love of naughty bingo, his exciting upcoming projects, and his answers to our 21 quickfire questions.

“Love a Bit of Naughty Bingo”

As the party was about to kick off, David couldn’t hide his excitement:

“Very excited, very excited for tonight. Love a bit of bingo. Love a party. So it’s a bit of me.”

When asked how much bingo he plays, he admitted he’s not your typical Mecca regular:

“So I only really do naughty bingo. I’ve not got a membership at Mecca, but, yeah, no, I’m more of a naughty bingo, get up and dance vibe. And this is what this is.”

From Ibiza to the Jungle?

David has been a familiar face on our screens for nearly a decade and he still finds it surreal:

“It will be 10 years this September when I went off filming my first series of Ibiza Weekender. It’s all so incredibly insane.”

When it comes to reality TV, fans often ask if he’d ever swap the beach clubs for the I’m a Celeb jungle. His answer? A firm no:

I always think would I want to go into the jungle? I’d be horrendous. Everyone always says I should do it but honestly I’d probably be the worst person they’ve ever had in there.

I’m scared of everything. I don’t even like rice. I’d be like ‘are you able to chuck us a jacket potato down?’.”

Panto Season & Podcast Secrets

David also revealed that his festive season is already booked up:

“I have just signed another contract with Pantomime this Christmas, which I’m very excited about… It’s a new venue. I’ve never done the venue before where it’s a new role. I’ve never done the role before.”

While he couldn’t give away the details, fans can expect something different from his past panto performances, which include:

“I have done King Triton and Little Mermaid. I’ve done the Henchman in Snow White. I’ve [been] Dandini in Cinderella.”

And it’s not just panto keeping him busy, David teased that his podcast will be back for a second series:

“This time I’ve got a co-host, which I’m very excited about… They are very loud. They are larger than life and you will definitely know them.”
