Class Calls Reimagined

Gala Moonpig Collab

Gala Bingo, a leader in the online bingo space, brings its formidable presence into the world of greeting cards. Launched in August 2024, each of the Moonpig cards is an interpretation of a well-known bingo call, turning it into a message for a wide range of occasions.

The designs and playful wording are fantastic. Like “Doctor’s Orders”, traditionally associated with bingo call number nine, being transformed into a get-well card, while “Baker’s Buns,” representing number 61 in bingo (as if you didn’t know!), adds a cheeky twist to birthday celebrations. “Knock at the Door,” tied to the number four (of course), becomes the perfect way to congratulate someone on their new home.

A Colourful Collaboration

Sara Jolly, Head of Brand at Gala Bingo, expressed her excitement about the project: “We had a lot of fun working with Moonpig on this limited edition range of cards, and we can’t wait to see what the response will be! With 90 bingo calls to choose from, this partnership allowed us to create a multi-purpose card collection to bring joy to the community with a touch of Gala Bingo magic”.

A Wider Appeal

Both brands are tapping into a shared audience—59% of Moonpig’s users are women, which aligns closely with the traditional bingo audience, predominantly female.

The cards come in a range of sizes with prices starting at £3.99, available to order online only at Moonpig until the end of the year. Just like a night at the bingo hall, they’re available only to customers aged 18 and over.

Spreading Laughter, One Card at a Time

Moonpig’s Director of Global Design & Licensing, Sarah-Jane Porter, emphasised the shared values of both brands: “Celebrating the moments that matter is at the heart of everything we do at Moonpig, which is why partnering with Gala Bingo felt like a natural fit. We hope that these cards not only bring joy but also become cherished keepsakes for our customers”.

This collaboration celebrates the shared moments and connections that make life special – a must-have for adding a little fun to your next card-sending moment. So, if you’re a fan of bingo and love a good laugh, head to Moonpig’s website and type “Gala” into the search bar to explore the collection. With just a few months to grab yours, make sure you check out the full range.

Charlie Shakespeare is on his travels again (he doesn’t sit still for a minute, does he!). This time, Charles is in the big smoke to uncover the magic of the famous venue: the Hippodrome Casino. Opened over 120 years ago, the Hippodrome has been everything from an arena with a 100,000-gallon water tank sunk into the floor to where escapologist Harry Houdini performed in 1904, and a Peter Stringfellow-run club. Now,…
