In the digital age, social media presence is a crucial metric for gauging the popularity and impact of events, including music festivals. It is no longer just about the music and the vibe but also the content, the outfits and the overall online experience.
WhichBingo looked at how many Instagram tags each participant had, giving us information on which events get the most attention and interaction online.
This is an in-depth review of the world’s biggest music festivals, ranked according to their popularity on Instagram.

Methodology
We gathered information on the number of attendees and the total number of Instagram tags for every festival in order to calculate its popularity on the platform. By dividing the total number of Instagram tags by the total number of participants, the number of tags per attendee was determined.
This metric provides a standardized measure of social media engagement, allowing for a fair comparison across festivals of varying sizes.
