After opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art bingo hall in Wigan in 2021, and in Kilmarnock at the end of 2022, Club 3000 is now preparing to finally open the doors to its newest venue in Blackpool. Work has been a bit stop/start on the project since planning permission was first granted in 2019 but is now full steam ahead to transform the interior of the building at Festival Leisure Park, and the operator hopes to begin welcoming customers from late June.
Club 3000 Blackpool – first look
This week, Club 3000 revealed a digital mock-up of what the interior of the building should look like when the work is completed. The building which is set to house the new bingo club is currently undergoing a £5m interior revamp.
The style of the venue looks like that of the operator’s Wigan bingo club which celebrated its first anniversary last year. It has modern strip light around the edges of the ceiling, contemporary artwork, geometric carpet, and rows of comfy seating including smart grey cushioned chairs.
Another artist’s impression of the venue’s interior shows the bar/restaurant area which looks both relaxing and modern. The seats and tables have different designs and fabrics to distinguish them from the ones in the main bingo hall, and there’s also mood lighting, a panelled bar where customers can order drinks, and eye-catching metal lampshades.
When is the club due to open?
The operator’s founder, Brian Fraser is hopeful of “an opening date of late June 2023”.
How could the club benefit Blackpool?
Aside from giving bingo lovers an additional place to play bingo, the state-of-art club should hopefully attract a younger audience. Naturally, there’ll be many more local jobs created as a result of the venue’s opening. Plus, Club 3000 believes that the new bingo hall will help to “raise the profile of this unique leisure destination”.
From our perspective, it’s also restored some faith in the land-based industry which has been hit particularly hard by COVID-19 restrictions and the cost-of-living crisis, causing Mecca Bingo to announce the closure of several of its venues in recent weeks.

And seriously risking their money in the process. VPN usage in the UK has surged since the Online Safety Act came into force in July 2025, and Gambling Commission research recorded around 20 million visits to illegal gambling sites that month.
