The game includes the Super Stakes feature, where you can double your bet on any spin and increase the potential frequency of payouts. Burning Scatters is a low to medium volatility game with a 95.81% RTP and a jackpot payout worth 1000x, and like all slots from Stakelogic, the game has excellent production standards, and looks and sounds good on any size of screen, especially on smartphones.

How to play

Burning Scatters is a 5 reel, 3 row video slot with 5 paylines automatically in play on every spin. Coins range in size from £0.01 to £10, so the minimum bet is £0.05 with a maximum wager of £50; however, when the Super Stake feature is in play, wagers are doubled so the max bet can be increased to £100. Wins pay left to right, except for scatter wins, which pay anywhere on the reels.

  • Burning Star symbol is the scatter
  • Hitting 5x Scatter symbols = 25x bet (up to £1,250)
  • Hitting 5x Lucky 7 symbols = 1,000x bet (up to £50,000)
  • Hitting 4x Lucky 7 symbols = 200x bet (up to £10,000)
  • Hitting 5x Bell symbols = 100x bet (up to £5,000)
  • Hitting 5x Bunch of Grapes symbols = 100x bet (up to £5,000)
  • Hitting 5x Cherries symbols = 40x bet (up to £2,000)
  • Hitting 5x Lemon symbols = 40x bet (up to £2,000)
  • Hitting 5x Orange symbols = 40x bet (up to £2,000)
  • Hitting 5x Blueberry symbols = 40x bet (up to £2,000)

Jackpot

The maximum jackpot you can win on Burning Scatters is £50,000 (when betting the max) by hitting 5x Lucky 7 symbols on any payline.

This is a low to medium volatility slot, with a 95.81% RTP.

Special features

Super Stake

When you activate the Super Stake feature, your wagers are doubled in size, so the increased max bet is £100. During the feature, additional Lucky 7 symbols are added to the reels to increase the potential for jackpots and other big wins. When Super Stake is in play, the average hit frequency is once every 59 spins.

Gamble Feature

Burning Scatters also has a gamble feature, where after a win you have the option to select a playing card, either by colour or by suit, and if you guess right you increase your win by either 2x or 4x —however, if you pick incorrectly, winnings are lost and the feature ends. You can gamble any winning spin up to a maximum of five times.

Graphics and Sounds

Burning Scatters is a beautifully designed modern take on the classic fruit machine. The symbols include all your favourite old school symbols, including Lucky 7, orange, lemon, cherries and other fruit, with a burning star as the scatter. While the symbols and overall game play might seem old fashioned, the production values are bang up to date, with lively animations on winning spins, and scatter symbols which burst into flames whenever they land on the reels.

In keeping with the old school theme, the sound effects are relatively simple and generic throughout, while the soundtrack features some classic trancelike electro-pop — think Jean-Michel Jarre, or something similar.

Conclusion

Burning Scatters is something of a departure for Stakelogic, as the gameplay is quite simple and straightforward in the classic, old school slots style. However, like all the games from this developer, the production values are very high and the game is optimised to look great on any size of screen. The Super Stake feature gives you the option to change how you play, and because there is a good range of coin sizes, the game is accessible to all. As the gameplay is quite low key, Burning Scatters might not be for everyone, but if you appreciate classic slots then this is a highly enjoyable game that gives you the chance to win some sizeable payouts.
